There is no set end date for the SAG AFTRA and WGA strikes against AMPTP—the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
This means that:
The fate of television and movie productions I currently filming are hanging in limbo. Depending what has already been finished, there may not be anything new to air on networks in the fall.
Union actors and actresses are not allowed to promote their work on social media or anywhere whatsoever. No press tours, no interviews, no Instagram posts means no way for normies to “follow the stars.” The entire cast of Oppenheimer left the European premiere as soon as the strike was called, apparently.
Union actors and actresses can still do commercials, some voiceover work, incredibly small budget films with approval, and student films with approval, but that’s basically it. They aren’t allowed to take non-union work. Not that shenanigans might not occur with controlled celebrities and projects, but the starving artists will let the world know about it pretty quickly if it does.
As this extends, and networks are forced to air re-runs, people will not be able to engage in escapism from the world around them because they’ll be forced to stop consoooooming new content.
So is it feasible that the strikes are actually meant to help wake people up by taking away their distractions? And assist in cleaning out Hollywood in the process? I feel it’s possible. I’ll be curious to see what, if anything, might happen with “news” broadcasters as some of them may be SAG-AFTRA members.
Yes strike down the bread and circuses. Pay attention.
Exactly. I saw a video last night from someone in SAG detailing all the things they CAN NOT do during this strike. It effectively wipes out Hollywood. In the meantime, you have your non-union and independently made projects. In other words, to me it looks like the entire trash has been taken out, paving the way for fresh content not tainted by those demons. Now, it is a little sad that my niece can't work, she's been on the makeup team for several Marvel movies. But she's amazingly talented so I have faith in her.
That is a good cover story if a bunch of them are off to gitmo for an extended "vacation."
That was first thought when I heard the actors joined the writers. Everybody will be out of sight and that includes all the executive level positions, so it is a good time to do a sweep of the industry.
When it’s all turned back on will it be like a summer rainstorm...afterwards the air is fresh and sweet and cool...
Them minions in the film industry screaming for rules and regulations on AI scripts and AI generated doppelgängers; they know it's the end of their careers if they don't.
Fuck AI. It's the end of humanity as we know it.
The elites will use it as an excuse to eliminate all the jobs that ordinary people hold and then use that as an excuse to eliminate all the ordinary people.
AI needs to be fucking destroyed
The jobs we must have to make ends meet do play a role in keeping us enslaved
As an artist, I am using AI every day and have been for the past 8 months. Stop being afraid of technology, micro-brain.
When utilized appropriately, technology can bring about tremendous benefits. However, when mishandled, it has the potential to pose a grave threat to humanity. I harbor doubts about our capacity as human beings to consistently employ technology in the correct manner.
All that needs to be done is unplug it...
I was thinking about that yesterday when I saw that SAG is going on strike also. The timing sure seems coincidental, and maybe it is, but with events seemingly getting closer to happening, it's interesting that Hollywood could be shut down at the same time.
I'm pretty sure that network shows that air in the Fall usually start production around this time, in mid July.
Who cares what they do, or don't do?. We are over all this.
Timing is everything. The only decent new film is the Sound of Freedom. It will cause more people to go see it, because the rest of the films are garbage.
I've noticed that white hats tend to force enemy agents offline before arresting them. This is the reason for all the resignations among CEO's and politicians. No one gets arrested while in the spotlight.
These people are not important. They believe they are, but they are really nothing.
They are in truth "Hollywood Trafficked" slaves who sold their souls for fortune and fame.
My perspective is the same on all of the points you make.
High IQ post right here...
Please let this be a 3 years delta this November with Biden or Harris 😁

CAA = CIA in many ways
these strikers are the same people who've fed us wokism with their shitty script for years. They can go to hell.
Sad for the good people in the mainstream entertainment business. I’m sure there are some of those. As for me, if I feel the need for entertainment, I can watch films from the 1920s thru 1950s for many happy years. When I want something edge-of-seat scary, I can watch current events. When I want live entertainment or music, my local community theater and bluegrass scene will suffice nicely. And of course books. I have at least 100 years worth of reading to do.
One interesting thing to note. Fran Dresher is President of the Union. She was married to Dr Shiva. She also fought to block vax mandates in Hollywood.
She’s married to Dr. Shiva? Whaaaaat?
It says they split up in 2016
I said she WAS. They still remain friends.
Oh goodness, yes you did.
Sorry, I read it super fast and mixed the tenses.
I was surprised she’s the head of SAG-AFTRA.
The networks have shelves full of content that was produced in anticipation of strikes. Also watch the pivot to all "reality" based tv.
The networks and studios probably have at least a year of releases that have been held back just for this time.
Reality TV is largely scripted and will be partially affected by other trade unions that have joined the WGA/SAG-AFTRA
Why do you think there was quotations around reality?
I just assumed you were making a deserved comment about how those shows feature people who live in fantasyland, lol
This is forcing the normies to go cold turkey. The cable has been cut.
I could never watch another hollyweird MC movie or show and be perfectly happy
Im late to this post but this is extremely plausible. Your user name is apt.
I really believe it's not a coincidence and both strikes are part of the plan.
OTOH, as someone who hasn't watched almost any TV in about 7 years, aren't there already MASSIVE quantities of shows out there? Are most people even going to notice if they rerun some stuff? Lol
Being someone on the outskirts of the industry looking in, I’ve had friends bring this up.
“After all, it isn’t 2007 this time,” they point out, “there’s plenty of things to stream.”
I would argue that, yes, people can turn to reruns when nothing new is airing. However, the average person has had their attention span shortened significantly. If you don’t have new things airing, there’s nothing triggering those with ADD/ADHD to turn to Hulu to watch the latest episode of a show, since Hulu acts like a modern DVR in many cases. There’s nothing for the “Keeping up with the Joneses” types to discuss at work, forcing the water cooler Karens to run to Netflix so they aren’t left out of the discussion on the latest Shondaland show.
People have been trained to want new and more. When more episodes of new shows are not available, reruns lose their luster very quickly.
Not much new to watch and out comes Mel Gibson’s documentary! Incredible timing!!
Um WGA = We Go All = Writers Guild of America. Duh! Of course this is part of the plan ;)
Depends on the outcome.
However it looks like more of the same old audacity to me.
they cant even do press tours?
Nope. No promotions.
The weed smokin abuela from Cobra Kai is in a Publix commercial
