171,000,000 views after 12 hours. Twitter now pays for views. Did Tucker just make more than Fox paid him?

Plus all the millions of views on Rumble, by people like me who choose not to have a twitter account
i don't think twitter required an account to watch. i don't have an account either but i watched it on nitter
Correct. Works without an account.
Thanks anon.
So if I could ask a dumber than usual question....suppose I went to nitter.net. Then what's next to get to Tucker's channel?
Search Tucker Carlson Twitter on any search engine, should be the first result that pops up.
you can search users and posts on nitter, but usually i just copy the exact twitter link i want and then replace twitter with nitter and com with net.
185 mil now on X
I just checked and it’s at 193M now!
222M now. This is breaking the Internet, truly
Up to 232.2 million now and rising.
You should still have a play on Twitter, I bet you the fake media will disregard any other viewership number to make it seem less than it is.
President Trump was quite calm, collected, contemplative, intellectual, and thoughtfully answered each question. This wasn't a campaign speech, this was an honest discussion, and was an impressive display of character.
Yes, he was.
Haha, ''Is TV irrelevant? ''
😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
....yes!
Well, yes. You can stream stuff right to your big screen and watch when you want. Fuck the networks.
Also, John Rich has shown that record labels don’t mean shit.
Jim Caviezel and Angel Studios have shown that Hollywood don’t mean shit.
We, The People are the new boss and we don’t abide by the old rules.
Honestly, Hollywood has become more about connections than about good products. It's all about them and their pet causes, and that's before you get into all the child abuses.
They end up getting their money whether you disagree with them or not (or so they believe for now) so they keep doing what they want instead of encouraging new talent with new ideas.
Honestly I think because of all of the scandalous things that happens in Hollywood, that's the reason why they don't bring in new blood with new perspectives anymore. They don't get people with creativity and independent thought because they risk more of their transgressions coming to light if they open their doors.
Amen!
My understanding is Tucker Carlson is still under contract with Fox News. He is still drawing a salary from them. Albeit, he is officially suspended and obligated by the non-compete clause, he still can freely speak as a private citizen. Fox News will not release him from the Terms and Conditions of the contract. This means he cannot be hired by another news outlet or compete with Fox News.
Tucker Carlson is doing these interviews without being paid..... More on that in minute. You're asking right now, how is it then that Tucker Carlson is having all these interviews? As a private citizen, Tucker has a First Amendment right to speak. This is how. And Fox News initially attempted to silence Tucker Carlson by sending him a Cease and Desist letter. However, the lawyers at Fox have realized there is nothing contractually Carlson signed that obligates him to do so. In fact, the contract may have a clause that specifically permits Tucker leeway in expressing his First Amendment rights. The significance of this for Tucker is extraordinary. It means that Fox News would in all probability loose in court if they pursued their case in court. Not only that, I suspect it would be very costly to the Murdoch's financially in the public setting.
Elon Musk has guaranteed Tucker Carlson his own private Twitter space. This is huge win-win for both Musk and Carlson. Other platforms like Rumble have putatively given Carlson his own space for doing the same. What is ingenious about what Tucker Carlson has done here, is that Fox News is actually paying for all of Tucker Carlson's First Amendment airtime and there's nothing they can do about it legally. With Tucker's right to Free Speech, it's a catch-22 for Fox News. They are damned if they do maintain the contract with Tucker and damned if they terminate the contract with Tucker Carlson. The bottom line is the Murdoch's are facing the better of the worse scenarios at this point in time.
X pays its high profile users ad rev. Also, let's not forget Tuckers step mom was the heiress to the Swanson frozen food brand. He's loaded.
Dear Diary, today I got stickied. Luckily we were in the shower.

200M now.
Now it’s up to 185M views!!!!!
do we have the Fox ratings?
Just found this from CNN. 13.8 on average viewers for last nights debate.
https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/24/media/fox-news-gop-debate-ratings/index.html
Correction - 12.8M viewers, not 13.8
I haven’t seen the Fox ratings but I’ll do some digging.
I’ve never prayed so much for a person I don’t know personally
When I started watching the video it was at 91 million views. After Watching 188million views
+90 million in 40 minutes isn't bad

Interesting....They're trying to pad the RNC viewed numbers because they got slaughtered....
Via Google Search of "RNC debate view numbers"
Then the linked article says:
When did the GOP debate for the 2024 election cycle take place? It was held on August 23, 2023.
How many viewers did the GOP debate attract on Fox News? The debate was watched by an estimated 50 million+ viewers.
Did Donald Trump participate in the GOP debate? No, Trump opted out of the debate.
How many views did Trump’s interview with Tucker Carlson on “X” attract? The interview drew more than 74 million views.
They're lying, as usual.
That's pretty much a given most of us seem to take for granted, if for no other reason than God didn't make us that way and you have to constantly remind yourself that these people are lying bastards...
Where can I find the current view count. Thanks

248 MM as of now
You know the left will twist this so does anyone know how many views were from outside the US?
No. The internet pays a certain cost per 1000 views. With 170 million views, there’s 170,000 units of cost. The video is probably with under $2 million. Certainly not chump change.
The internet doesn’t pay anyone lol
Username checks out.
wut
Very doubtful he got 2 million for it but I could be wrong, no clue the the CPM on X currently is for creators.
I see the libs are crying how its not an accurate viewer count as simply scrolling past counts as a view. In attempt to save face they pluck 'x' number out of thin air and say that is how many views it got.
Some newspapers admit that when the pre-recorded interview dropped nearly 100M started watching as if in anticipation of it's release.
Tucker gets around 20 million a year from Fox. He's been there under this contract what? 6 years? That's over 100 million dollars. So no, I don't think he just made more from one video on Twitter than he's made with Fox.
171.000.000, I see at 17!!!!!
Those are not video views, they are tweet views. Anyone that scrolls by it counts.
assuming Twitter isn't feeding Trump interviews into liberal feeds than I would imagine 90-something percent of people stopped to watch at least some of it.
Good point. I'm sure they have a hidden gauge for video views since it determines compensation for content creators. Tucker would have visibility to that number.
Anyone that scrolls by Trump would stop and watch for sure. In this rare case, video views and tweet views are the same thing.
It's the night before his mugshot afterall.
