Who are these assholes; me and my family use these products and they do work so what is the motive behind removing them. Do they think that people will go for the jab if they get sick enough and don't have this kind of medication to help them. I know it is for nefarious reasons, I'm just not sure what.....yet.
Benadryl active idiphenhydramine HCl
Sudafed (original) actdive is pseudoephedrine HCI
these are not the products being discussed. They are talking the new sudafed active Phenylephrine.
The only reason they created this new active was b/c the original was regulated and pulled behind the counter due to being used to create meth. The original is still available and far superior.
Not sure why they put benadryl on this, seems like click bait, benadryl is a different active, they are talking about some kind of sinus benadryl.
benadryl and sudafed are essentially using their branding to sell a new and different medicine that in my experience doesn't work as a decongestant.
straight benadryl works for allergies and that is what we think of when we hear benadryl. And the original sudafed works as a decongestant.
I posted on this the other day. I don't trust the FDA, but I want to make sure people understand the actual active ingredient they are discussion.
Agreed. The phenylephrine doesn't work worth crap I always buy the real Sudafed behind the counter. Frankly, I think most people don't realize that the real Sudafed is behind the counter and that the products were switched years ago.
exactly, I don't think most discussing this issue are aware of the change. If the product is safe not sure the fda needs to ban it, but they should at a minimum for different branding to avoid this confusion.
I believe Afrin sells a brand but that’s it around these parts.
Anything with the ‘ozympheblahblah’, which is 90% of the sprays, make things worse for me. Including the flomax and the rest. Daughter in law thinks I’m addicted Kek but it’s need comes and goes. But it’s all that works for me.
I’m already beginning to hoard because of this kek
Thanks for the info. I have been looking for an alternative and will give what you’ve suggested a try. It would be much more convenient in life if there were an alternative. Sometimes I’ll travel to get it when it’s hard to come by (u know, the “supply chain” issue) at times.
Benedryl does work as an antihistamine..... Not as a DECONGESTANT. Pseudoephedrine (Sudafed) is the decongestant and it also works. NONE of the other fake decongestants work though...
I use Benadryl for skin reactions (allergic to things like bee and wasp stings, poison ivy, etc) and literally need it to survive the summer and be able to sleep without misery.
Regular Benadryl doesn't contains phenylephrine which the FDA is saying doesn't work for decongestion. "Benadryl Allergy Plus Decongestant" contains phenylephrine + diphenhydramine. So regular Benadryl should not be banned if they move forward with something .
I think you may be onto something. They don't want another ivermectin scandal to deal with so they are eliminating the products that might cure this next variant. Stock up like there is no tomorrow folks.
That’s a major pet peeve of mine... it was so smart to make people use low flush toilets-they have to flush 3 times to get all the crap to go down. Brilliant.
Anti-histamines are over 100 years old. They bind to the ACE-2 receptors in the lungs, thus blocking the ACE-2 pathways from viruses and allergens.
During the coof, there were some residential care homes in Spain that had zero covid cases because they gave their residents Benadryl everyday. This is probably the reason they want them removed.
WTF! They do think we are STUPID! Neosynephrine is a strong vasoconstrictor meaning the drug constricts the sinuses resulting in decreased nasal congestion. What is the FDA really getting at? Are they getting ready to remove decongestants from OTC? I can't wait until these agencies, medical entities, and pharmaceuticals are splintered for crimes against humanity!
First, they came for the natural home remedies, and I said nothing because I do not use home remedies- I only use safe and effective FDA approved drugs.
Then, they came for Ivermectin (horse paste), and I said nothing because I do not use horse paste- I only use safe and effective FDA approved drugs.
Then, they came for my safe snd effective FDA approved decongestant's....
This article says phenylephrine. But the active ingredient in Benadryl is Diphenhydramine.
Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine, as mentioned earlier. It works by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance produced by the body during an allergic reaction. Diphenhydramine is commonly used to relieve symptoms of allergies, such as sneezing, runny nose, itching, and watery eyes. It can also have sedative effects and is sometimes used as a sleep aid.
On the other hand, phenylephrine is a decongestant. It works by narrowing the blood vessels in the nasal passages and reducing swelling and congestion in the nasal tissues. Phenylephrine is often found in over-the-counter cold and allergy medications designed to relieve nasal congestion and sinus pressure. It does not have the sedative effects associated with diphenhydramine.
OTC sleeping aids contain diphenhydramine. I buy it generic. Works great for sleep. So if they ban Benadryl we still have the OTC sleeping aid.
"Benadryl Allergy Plus Decongestion" contains both.
Fyi: If anyone has has a horrific itch in their arms that no amount of scratching will fix (often scratching hard enough to bleed cuz the pain feels better than the itch) and will keep you up all night or bring you to tears…
…have your C 4-5 (neck) checked for a bulge/pinch. Your body will sometimes interpret pain signals as “itching.” Orthos (last I heard) have no idea what ur talking about, dermatologists are aware. Chiropractor can also help.
This could just be a reward for the doctors that went along with their vaccine bullshit. They outlaw the OTC, but it is still available through presciption.
They have done this with countless animal meds over the last several years. You can still get them but you have to go pay a fucking vet to tell you what you already know now.
And now your doctor will have to justify why he gave you the presciption and be hesitant to write the scrip just like they did to pain killers. Fucking government is useless, and all the three letter bureauracies should be eliminated. They are not constitutional, and they run over the people's rights.
Either way, they are admitting they were wrong. They were either wrong in certifying them in the first place or they are wrong in saying they don’t work. That’s more than enough justification NOT to trust anything they say.
I think this is a precursor to the FDA banning vitamins and natural supplements (especially NAC) and using the same basis ("they simply don't work"). This is a litmus test to see the public's reaction/acceptance before they move on to the real target.
I took NAC for about two months then had to go off for surgery. It cured my anxiety and made me grounded.
After I had surgery, I went back on NAC around the 3 week mark. Let all the surgery crap out of my system.
I noticed I was breaking out in hives. I have had hives in the past but few and far between. This was happening on a daily basis, and some were like small lumps.
I started to research, and NAC has a histamine intolerance on some people. One person stated he went off for about a month and his hives came back with a vengeance. I thought back and prior to surgery my fingers and feel were itchy but went right away.
It really worked for me, but I am unable to take it.
Use Ultra Zinc Lozenge by GNC .
It works very well.
Use it before sleeping. With that also take Vitamin D , Vitamin C and Vitamin K from GNC . Based on my experience the GNC vitamins are way better than others shops . Not making advertising for GNC .
That’s BS. I live in FL and there are certain times of the year I get a wicked sinus headache and one little red pill does the trick. As a test, hang out with someone for several hours who have 3 indoor labradors and tell me it doesn’t work later. I have done that. Or do yard work when it hasn’t rained in a couple months. Such utter crap. Guess I know what I’m stocking up on at the store today. Phaggots.

Personally, I trust anything the FDA says, and not my own experience with these decongestants working just fine for me and my family.
I can assure you that Phenylephrine works. It is the only nose spray that clear my sinus. This is crazy stuff.
The old stuff with pseudoephedrine works.
It's replacement doesn't do shit for me.
You should probably get vaccinated then huh?
Two doses, regardless of previous vaccine status
what do you plan to use?
I agree because I use benadryl.
That is diphenhydramine.
Phenylephrine is an alternative to pseudophedrine—Sudafed.
Maybe like the My Pillow, it works for some people and not for others. Who knew?
I know, right? Imagine that?
I buy it Generic Brand (cvs, Walgreens, etc) 1%
I believe Afrin sells a brand but that’s it around these parts.

It will still be available at 8 times the cost, with a doctors visit!
Bullshit. Benadryl is a miracle drug for me.
I use it too. They are up to something.
Yeah, how about we quit forcing injections, quit banning drugs, and just let people decide what they do and do not want to put inside their own bodies
Crazy freakazoid, idea, I know...liberty
Are these the cures for the new variant?
Benedryl is for hives and I use it for sleep and allergies.
I think you may be onto something. They don't want another ivermectin scandal to deal with so they are eliminating the products that might cure this next variant. Stock up like there is no tomorrow folks.
Stores ate already low on stuff.
Caveat emptor -- We are entitled to buy the products we want to buy.
SHEESH can't they stay out of our medicine cabinets, and our toilet tanks??
This better get major blowback.
I hope so! They got away with it for toilet tanks and light bulbs.
They have so many paid bureaucrats how can the average family fight ALL this stuff??
What did they do with toilet tanks? You mean the green flush of less water?
That’s a major pet peeve of mine... it was so smart to make people use low flush toilets-they have to flush 3 times to get all the crap to go down. Brilliant.
Yeah max 3 gallon tank, so ppl had to flush it a couple times.
Don't forget the gas stoves and the cars.

Yes
From the same 3 letter agency that says the xaXXXines are "safe and effective".
Half a benadryl tablet puts me to sleep for the night. I don't do it often, but if I have a couple bad nights, this puts me out for sure.
This article says phenylephrine. But the active ingredient in Benadryl is Diphenhydramine.

"Benadryl Allergy Plus Decongestion" contains both.
I like the super powerful OTC antihistamine, doxylamine succinate, for sleep. Half of one tablet is like two benadryl.
They work for me! What are they pushing instead?
The FDA is FULLY useless, so it must be banned!
Not only that, but the FDA causes climate change. Just added that for good measure.
Something fishy is going on here.
Fyi: If anyone has has a horrific itch in their arms that no amount of scratching will fix (often scratching hard enough to bleed cuz the pain feels better than the itch) and will keep you up all night or bring you to tears…

But Benadryl stops it in its tracks.
Stocking up tomorrow

Amen.
Would these decongestants they are banning help prevent the effects of the next bioweapon? Inquiring minds want to know.
That is my thought.
Probably should use same standards for mRNA gene therapy vaccine
Pfizer will come riding in on a white horse with a “replacement” decongestant that will also administer a shot of our old friend “Covid Vaccine.”
Of course their ingredients and studies will be locked away for 75 years.
This is what many people are saying.
Either way, they are admitting they were wrong. They were either wrong in certifying them in the first place or they are wrong in saying they don’t work. That’s more than enough justification NOT to trust anything they say.

This doesn't help allergies in me. I have them all year round.
Red Skull warned on Tuesday they’d be pulling phenylephrine from the shelves.
My guess is that it’s effective against whatever the hell they’re releasing next.
That’s BS. I live in FL and there are certain times of the year I get a wicked sinus headache and one little red pill does the trick. I use Benadryl especially because I am prone to hives. This must cure the new varient.
liars
Then why do they work? They think they can just make stuff up and lie and say whatever they want!!!
Exactly.
As someone who is sadly living on this atm, they are full of it.
*on vacay and refuse to be sick at the beach ⛱️
Have fun.
Thank you, my friend!
Phenylephrine was patented almost 100 years ago. Took them awhile to figure out it "does not work" lol
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenylephrine
So, you know what that means, it means it works.
And they want to block it for the public.
Exactly or it will cure the new varient.
copypasta from my reply to the top comment.
