Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
This was my Bible verse for the day:
The LORD Himself will fight for you. Just stay calm. Exodus 14:14 (NLT)
Here it is from KJV: 14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Pretty cool, eh?
Love it ❤️
Those who blindly follow the very written words of men will not understand the essence of the God’s word.

Lol, no! I hadn't seen either before. Epic.
im sorry for asking but where can i find the resources to find how much we spend on the wall?
arguing the money amount and some how they got 11 billion
Dan Bongino seems to be more awake today than ever before. Worth the listen IMO if you can. He's really starting to see the evil in what is going on instead of being interested in dem's vs. rep's in some sort of box score.
Last week Glen Beck mentioned that he is looking into how Rockefeller corrupted medicine (and I think he referred to that as evil too).
These things are encouraging because we already know about the evil but when the somewhat awake really start waking up and communicate to their large audiences it lifts my spirits.
Edit: Bongino is reverting back somewhat to box scores (dems), but still seems to have moved from where he was recently.
Are you a conspiracy theorist???
Do you believe in The Big Mike Conspiracy Theory??

I'm just wondering if we have any examples of a truly free country in modern history? Any examples of a truly free economy?
I'm getting the sinking feeling the human race has never been truly free. At least not in the last 10,000 years or so.
Once the credit system, usury became the basis for the economy, we signed ourselves over, in my opinion. Remember those old timey movies with the lady tied to the railroad track and the banker holder her mortgage over her head while she kicked and squirmed with the train approaching? We are all tied to the tracks. Cornelius Vanderbilt, one of the first robber barons, the train was a metaphor.
Trump's freedom cities will change that.
I do believe that after Jesus, the world was free to a much larger extent than now for a long time. Only after 1666, the fire of London, leading to the Bank of London and everything that came after that slowly sucked the world back into their clutches.
But in modern history, any free country has to be fleeting because they would get targeted and eliminated by the Banksters. Probably Russia is a good example - they kinda held their ground after Putin took control, probably longer than most other examples.
So...
I was scrolling through comments sections of a video discussing the live-action One Piece show and its differences between it and the anime/manga version. Ran into this comment that give me quite a bit of food for thought...
It does brings into question the whole meme of Japan being "based", whatever that word means anymore...
The entire comment sounds like a western narrative to put down Japan. Yes they have a harder work culture, but hey thats better than the work culture where we have to pick up the tabs of all the people who dont feel up to working.
The work culture has been changing over the years and I think these days they have a better balance.
Japan has always been one of those countries, deeply wedged under the heels of the Cabal Empire, but always finding ways to never surrender their spirit, and gets punished heavily for that.
Yeah, there is a phenomenon where the youngster these days get exposed to the western culture, specifically targeted to them, that tells them that they are unhappy and Japan does not let them express themselves etc etc, the typical cultural brainwashing. This is causing a lot of youngsters to drop out of society and some even leave their country and make youtube videos about how they could not cope living in Japan.
At the same time you have tons of people from around the world moving to Japan, finally finding happiness and making videos about how wonderful it is.
We have some anons here who actually LIVE in Japan who could chime in.
That comment was largely word vomit. South Korea is also facing a "fertility crisis" and yet has all those "utopia" qualities in spite of "toxic work culture"
Which yes, exists, but people aren't jumping off buildings every day post bubble style. The appeal to the west of Japan and Korea is I feel due to the fact culturally America (and the American west in general) kind of sucks.
Any sense of nationalism has been demonized by media and deep state. Civil rights issues distracted and separated us for two hundred years that we could have been nurturing and growing as a society. Protestantism also absolutely crippled us artistically, emotionally, and philisophically. This has all been manipulated by the cabal due to the fact America is relatively young as a nation.
Japan somehow retains a culture and identity in spite of being a failed state and having been the biggest loser of that war. Think of it more, our "cultural institutions" are all cabal traps: fast food, sportsball, Hollywood, books, music, social media. No coincidence, those same designs corrupt and erode other nations even the eastern ones
I was in Japan recently and their food is just Wow! Like it's crazy how good they taste, even the veggies, and I hate veggies.
Yes, the vegetables in Japan are fantastic. WAY better than in America. Organic farmers' markets in America are alright. But let's say you want to buy a watermelon. Sure, they are cheaper in the USA, and you can try thumping them to see what they sound like. You think you've got a good one, so you bring it home, cut it open, and it just sucks. Meanwhile in Japan, they will tell you with a sticker how sweet the watermelon is on a grade scale. I tell kids in Japan who hate tomatoes that the ones here are like candy compared to the crappy tomatoes in America. And I don't buy American meat here. Especially now that they've begun vaccinating the farm animals. I guess the cows need to experience myocarditis too.
"Refined" is an appropriate word to describe Japanese food for sure. I realize that most Americans don't know the difference between Japanese and Chinese food, but they are very different. Then again, at a Chinese restaurant in America, fried rice is just something to do with leftover rice. Here, the fried rice is fantastic and will blow you away. It's Japanese-style Chinese food primarily. OTOH, I miss stuff like egg foo young and moo goo gai pan.
Send in these anons that live in Japan into here then. I want everyone's opinion.
Right off the top of my head, Steve. He has lived in Japan quite a long time. Hopefully he sees this, I can't tag users on this browser.

Let Sora the Troll explain Japanese work culture. He's fluent in Englsh and subtitles his videos. Plus he's fun to watch.

I've been in Japan since January 2012, but it's not the first time living here. I got married in 2001, moved to Arizona with my wife in 2002, and for nearly 10 years I tried to make a life for us in the Bush/Obama economy. I grew up listening to my parents' idealistic words about The American Dream. They grew up believing that as long as you have a college degree that everything would be alright. I could not get a "permanent" job anywhere due to outsourcing, hiring freezes, etc. They admonished me for working contract jobs, but that was the only way I could find employment. But then companies would see my resume and assume that I preferred contract work and would pass me up. I was stuck in a rut. After our house was broken into by illegal immigrants (we saw them walking up and down the street, scoping out the neighborhood), that was it. We sold our house in a short sale and made plans to move back to Japan. Sure, I'm not making as much, but it is stable work and I am not stuck with frequent unemployment.
Anyhow, I'm a teacher, but for a while I worked at a Japanese company. I have experience with pretending to look busy until 6pm even though the job hours ended at 5pm just to make the bosshole happy. I'm no slouch and I would put in plenty of overtime when I worked in America, but even though there wasn't anything that couldn't wait until the next day, the traditional Japanese work culture was strong there, despite the young company president the same age as myself. If Monday was a holiday, we'd have to work Saturday to make up for it, regardless of whether it was necessary or not. In the end, I was a diversity hire so that the damned company president could brag about how international his company was, despite his refusal to open his company's work culture to foreign ideas. I think he was getting some bonus from the city for hiring foreigners. I quit mainly because his business manager was a complete bosshole and I was one of several who quit because of that guy.
The younger generation prefers to work contract work to avoid all of that crap. My sister-in-law who works in the Tokyo area can work a steady stream of contract jobs juggling Excel spreadsheets as I once did in America and she has no problem staying employed. She avoids all the hassle that way and when the day of work hours ends, she's out the door unless they pay her overtime.
As a foreigner living here, the factors that make people's lives miserable are so obvious and all they have to do is make adjustments to make people's lives happier. But Japanese culture doesn't ask for help. Why expect employees to stay after work hours when it isn't necessary? Why should a high school uniform for your teenager cost nearly a thousand dollars? There is just so much bullcrap and the weebs think that Japan must be some utopia because "that's where all the neat stuff comes from."
I generally stay away from other foreigners here as they tend to be negative about Japan. Funny thing is how shitlibs are so quick to bitch about Japan. All their virtues of moral relativism goes out the door when they get together and complain about stuff. My big complaint is how people here don't think for themselves. Everyone just wears masks and took the doom shots without questioning. The TV became a 24 hour nonstop Pfizer commercial. Since people don't know English (Japan is far behind other Asian countries), they aren't exposed to other opinions on stuff like the mRNA doom shots, the Ukrainian situation, etc. At the same time though, Japanese are pretty mellow and somewhat based. You see trannies like Matsuko Deluxe and Ikko constantly on TV but your average citizen doesn't care about that crap. When I worked at that company, Obama visited Japan to boo-hoo-hoo about the atomic bombs. My coworkers there were like, "We don't want Obama to apologize for our country being bombed. That was a long time ago and he had nothing to do with it." Good for them!
There are plenty of advantages in Japan. School stresses my kid out, but then again there isn't the rampant promiscuity here. She actually is taught history and algebra and no woke BS. (But they do incorporate "global warming" and "sustainable development goals" bullcrap in to the curriculum though!) Japan still doesn't allow gay marriage, despite pressure from the G7. Neighbors are pretty respectful to each other. People don't get in your face about stuff. I can park my bike at city hall, put my helmet in my basket and leave it unlocked and it'll be there when I come back (although maybe I wouldn't recommend this for large cities). The food is great, and stuff like tomatoes are like candy compared to American tomatoes. Strawberries are sweet and not sour. Plus it's so beautiful here. This country is about as large as America's West Coast and there is no way I'd ever get to see and do everything I'd like to do here.
As for One Piece though... I can't stand it. I've heard that the story is pretty based, but I'm sorry, but I just can't get into a show when the main character looks like a retard. Luffy is such an obnoxious-looking character.
I agree about Luffy, and they did the same thing to Ash/Satoshi in Pokemon. Japanese kids must really love goofs with wiggly arms.
For what its worth, I have priced out the cost of making the uniforms for weebs here and the full uniform (pleated skirt, blouse, fuku, plus the fall jacket with embroidery) would cost about $300 materials to make properly. I had no idea they charged $1000 for them, then again, J fashion itself like Liz Lisa is pretty expensive
Another Verse:
Deuteronomy 29:29
Study Note:
29:29 There are some secrets God has chosen not to reveal to us, possibly for the following reasons: (1) our finite minds cannot fully understand the infinite aspects of God's nature and universe (Ecclesiastes 3:11); (2) some things are unnecessary for us to know until we are more mature; (3) God is infinite and all-knowing, and we do not have the capacity to know everything He does. This verse shows that although God has not told us everything there is to know about obeying him, he has told us enough. Thus disobedience comes from an act of the will, not lack of knowledge. Through God's Word we know enough about him to be saved by faith and to serve him. We must not use the limitation of our knowledge as an excuse to reject his claim on our life.

Have a blessed day.
Great song. Thank you! Needed it this morning
Amen and I wouldn't worship any less of a god besides this true one!
Isaiah 55:8&9
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Panama Canal, connecting two oceans is running out of water. No, can't make this up!
Strange that Trump gave us an impromptu history lesson about the Panama Canal during his Tucker interview, and then this.
Notable!
Hmmm. Canal appearing in multiple places.

Watch the water...
Last week the freshwater lake used for the lock system was too low to work...it stopped 40% of global shipping.
This is a perfect example of why the US is a leader and China is not. We might be greedy, but we actually do the maintenance to keep things running (mostly).
These greedy bastards are running it into the ground...
Elon Musk made the gossip column on CDAN. https://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2023/09/blind-items-revealed-2_24.html Recording random Tesla owners having sex in the car, apparently.
The comments...
Is CDAN the leftist version of "QAnons"?
I guess it's mostly just gossip. Occasionally gets to criminal-level Q-related conspiracy stuff.
I'm familiar with it. I was frankly just surprised at how all the comments are low effort, redditesque shots at Elon. Would have thought, from what I've seen there before with people buying in on the blinds, there'd be more nuance in the comments.
Basically this is to say it's strange how completely TPTB seem to have brainwashed the masses towards Musk. Regardless of my personal skepticisms.
Thanks for the share.
Tesla owners and sex ... please spare us all the gruesome details. It just sounds nasty.
Psalm 95:1-6
Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! 2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! 3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. 4 In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. 5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
Amen.
In a quiet moment the other night, the Lord reminded me to find something to love in everything I do and everyone I see. That is what he wants from me - it isn't easy but will bring me closer to the life he wants for me.
Thank you for your posts!
You are welcome! ThanQ for your frenship! May God bless your initiative!
John 13:34&35
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Amen. Still praising with you.
Amen! Thank you, Heavenly Father, for all of Your blessings and provision.
Is anyone else excited about Freedom Cities? The ones Trump promised would have special ultra-streamlined federal regulatory framework to allow maximum freedom and prosperity?
We are going to be be building almost utopian like freedom cities in the next few years. I'm so excited to experience that.
It sounds great. I wonder exactly how this would work. How housing and retail work now is screwed up -- crime-ridden big cities, suburbs with retail sprawl and traffic jams.
Next month City Skylines 2 is coming out, it's the most realistic city simulator ever created. If you want to learn how to build cities that work together harmoniously, I'd highly recommend that. I don't play video games, but I'm going to enter the freedom city contest, so first I have to learn about how cities function on a basic level.
Freedom cities will be the blue print for idea of small government and people living free lives as evisioned by the founding fathers. Eventually these will inspire the rest of the world to do the same thing.
They ware used to be called Open Cities.
