But since people would reasonably expect to notice numbers less than 100 (higher numbers? maybe the last two digits :) ), so many instances of 17, in relevant places (as someone else stated), it DOES seem to be more than coincidence.
The two benefits I can think of - he's soaking up never trumper money in a way that might be considered harmless, and he's making the GOPe look out of touch with their members.
