Left Field thought...So if this Lizard Man image was life sized and was stood up straight he'd be about 8 to 10 ft tall I figure...why is that important? Witness's to DIA's underground works said a couple of the men's bathroom contained urinals that given their placement of the wall you would have to be 8-12ft tall to use them comfortably. When remarked upon the witness was told it was just a construction error. I have always thought it odd that such a construction mistake happened at all. Yup. Nothing spectacular. Just a lot about how big the airport is; other airports can fit into its expansive property blah blah blah.
However, what I do find odd is why make it so big? Why would DEN airport need to be this big; would it get vastly more traffic than any other airport to justify the size? There is a weird amount of pride around all the "groundbreaking construction" and sheer size.
