I've driven a DeLorean --------- absolutely mediocre.
It didn't get the engine it was supposed to. With an engine transplant they can be quite nice. Despite it's lack of horsepower, its look was revolutionary and amazing. It can be appreciated for that alone.
Besides, it only needs to hit 88mph which it can do just fine. Anything else is superfluous really.
PVR was a bit of a slug.

I saw Elon watch Joe Rogan shoot an arrow at this truck and it dented it a bit but did not go through. I was impressed that he was keen to give it a go. Cobalt mining needs to change their child labor policies for EV to be viable.
Are arrows supposed to pierce metal? Like what are the odds one would pierce my Jeep door? I figured it would be the same in all cars, you know because it’s steel.

Joe Rogan spoke with some authority about the forces exerted by his compound bow. The arrow head was some kind of hardened steel/alloy and I am fairly certain this Tesla truck is much stronger than a jeep. Elon mentioned what it was made from but I don’t recall.
My malinois or blue heeler wouldn’t load in it — but I could probably convince my bloodhound to ride — nice windows for slobber slinging

Not sure what the point of this post is, but, yes, I have a reservation. Fucking moonraker truck that still works when the refineries are shut down if you have solar. Also have you seen the camper versions. Solid. Fast as fuck too.
What about nighttime? How long does the battery hold charge for? How much is a new battery? If you drive too far and can’t make it home are you just going to leave it abandoned? How would you recharge it? Just questions.
Everyone has different tastes in what they find visually pleasing. I'm a Musk fan even though he himself admits he is just left of center. There has to be early adaptors to fund development, and electric cars are the future, but aren't ready for primetime. I have no idea what they charge, but the parking garage where I work has charging stations, and a fellow with an electric car said they are expensive to use..
People been hating on Tesla for over ten years now. Still the best car I’ve ever driven. I’ll be buying a CyberTruck to see how that plays out.
I swear sometimes I think Tesla cars were for distraction. He is too smart to think EV especially ugly ones are the actual wave of the future. Now if all the Teslas were designed to easily convert to some free energy usage, maybe they would make a little more sense
Yeah, I worked in a factory that used battery powered forklifts and they worked great! Could swap batteries out in about a min. using a small crane. Portable batteries might be a short term fix...

Rather a lot of technology that is several decades(even centuries...) old that never made it into the world, what better way to let is slowly seep out into public use and knowledge, but of course that necessitates keeping up the Musk ruse(duds and all...), for now at least...

Yeah, modern cars in general are not as pretty as cars were back in the 60's and before. Its like today they all make the same 6 cars and each company just puts their brand label on.

I wonder how this performed in crash safety tests... it doesn't really look like it was designed for crumple zones. And I'd like to not be the element that crumples in a run-in.

Yeah, I use Uber and a lot of Uber drivers are in Teslas. Many of them rent them through Uber, one guy claimed he pays 600 a week all in, including electric... That's a lot of fares before you make money for yourself... Uber supposedly gives them an extra dollar per trip for using a Tesla.

Yeah, We left Tarrytown when I was 4, but been there 3 times. 47 years ago we were paying 2.25 for a move in Fla. In NYC we paid 8 or 8.50... Taxes crazy too! State, County, and City hitting your paycheck.

It's a little over average. 8 cylinder Ram 2500 here, weighs in a tiny bit over 10k lbs.
