The only issue is they're setting up restaurants and specifically chain fast food as the only available food source to control you. So its becoming a demand issue because the average teen is doing social media as a "job" as menial labor is beneath them apparently
We used to have a lot of mid-pay jobs to move up to after your first McDonalds or Retail job. Not any more. These are the jobs that are gone. There are only entry level low pay jobs, and professional high pay jobs, not much in between. Destruction of the middle class. Raising the minimum wage doesn’t fix that.
This is the actual rational response. Perhaps fast food is not supposed to pay for a family (though, who really dictates that?)
It's just that it has to because so many jobs are exported overseas, not even giving many people a chance.
Unfortunately this is just a bandage over a festering wound covered in more bandages. Until we focus on the economy and bringing manufacturing, tech, etc. back to the U.S. this is the future.
Government made it hard for teens to get a job. Too many restrictions on when they can/can't work, and what type of work they can do. Also McDonalds wasn't 24 hours back in the day. McDonalds beside where I work paying 18-22 an hour in Nashville.
This is what the government wants. This is how they usher in socialism. Make things so unaffordable that people need to rely on the government for everything.
I quit buying Papa Johns, their pepperoni is too salty. Better ingredients no more. Costco @ 10 bucks for extra large... I like a lot of toppings but oh well.
First they outsourced manufacturing like cars and parts then it was garments, then appliances and finally the service sector jobs like tech support which were all the higher paying middle class jobs. Kids these days graduate with $100k masters degrees in social justice working part time at starbucks or dollar tree... unbelievable.
Sorry its the sheeple Dems in the state going along and rooting for this garbage I was referring too... yes, the driving these things through from Newsome and others in political power in CA I believe is intentional. But the "retarded" part is there nonetheless... cause they're getting people to vote for these things. NCSWIC!
Facts. Back in the early 2k's I delivered for Papa John's. I kept a little black book of addresses of people who were assholes, didn't tip, or complained over nothing trying to get a free pizza. These MFers were ALWAYS the very last to get thier order if you were on the list. I'd never "add ingredients" or shake it though, it'd just be cold.
Conversely, those who tipped well and were friendly were always the first on the list and got their pies still steaming out of the box. Sometimes they'd get a free pie from "someone that canceled their order", but would also be steaming hot.
Yeah, I did the same... A few months back I ordered pizza from a Marcos Pizza a few blocks from where I live. I waited and waited more than an hour and no pizza. I called them up and canceled the order telling the manager I could have walked there, ordered, waited, and walked home faster. I always tip. Apparently since I was close the delivery driver saved me for last. Now I won't order because retaliation might occur. Silly drivers.
I worked for Dominoes twice, Pizza Hut, and Papa Johns, when you switch you can answer the phone wrong lol.
Marco's would always screw up my order. If I order pizza and wings, they'd forget the wings. When I called the manager she said - no big deal we'll give you free wings with your next order. Told her there will not be a next order.
... and I know exactly where it's been and how it was handled.
Kek. If you don't think it is being messed with (whether by accident or on purpose) at the restaurant you're nuts. I try my best to eat at home. I mean - remember the "youts" doing stuff at WalMart like licking inside ice cream containers and putting them back on the shelf? You also have to worry about racist kids doing something to your food (white or black). I know I'm really thankful I'm not a cop as well - I don't think I could ever go through a drive-thru in a cop car or wearing a uniform.
As for accidental - think about the restaurants like Pizza Hut that have had roach problems over and over, or Popeyes with their rat problems, not to mention McDonalds. Also how many places have employees that drop food, pick it up and brush it off, and then serve it? People are seriously lacking morals, and usually have no repercussions either if they do something bad. It's depressing.
Keep in mind when someone delivers food, you are also using their car. I delivered pizza in the 90's and its hard on your door hinges, starter, brakes, etc... Pizza business aims for 3 deliveries per hour for drivers, and they also work between runs making the pizza. They pizza joints don't give the delivery charge to the drivers. Typically the drivers get a buck per order for gas, minimum wage, + tips.
So at this rate a college graduate should be making at least $75/hour, otherwise what is the point of a college degree? I know, most colleges and the degrees are worthless!
Fast food jobs were never supposed to pay for a family .they were introductory jobs for teens and summer jobs for college kids
Been shouting this for years!!! McDs was never meant to be a career!

40k before taxes is not going to pay for a family to live in Cali. It's not enough for one person let alone three or four.
The only way to make it is if you own your house, own your car, and don't have to pay medical.
Birth rates have been down and most industrial jobs went over seas, what are they supposed to do?

Not only do they not have $20.00 an hour, they don’t have a job. These people are stupid.
Why not $100 per hour if it's such a good idea?
This is what the government wants. This is how they usher in socialism. Make things so unaffordable that people need to rely on the government for everything.
UBI
Forty grand a year to deliver pizza
You are also putting milage on their car... 40K, then subtract 10K for the car.
Most of those drivers probably thought it was a good idea too.
Pizza drivers are gonna be independent c9ntractors now eh!
Door Dash and Uber Eats and the crappy pizza gonna cost 30 bucks lol.
You're already paying like 18$ for a large pizza from Papa John's, plus fees, delivery fees and a tip, it's already happening.
I quit buying Papa Johns, their pepperoni is too salty. Better ingredients no more. Costco @ 10 bucks for extra large... I like a lot of toppings but oh well.
Oh you know they were cheering this on!! Then the boomerang throttled them.
First they outsourced manufacturing like cars and parts then it was garments, then appliances and finally the service sector jobs like tech support which were all the higher paying middle class jobs. CA Dems: let’s fight inflation with more inflation. Fricken retarded
It's only retarded if the destruction is unintentional.
Hint: It's not retarded.
Extremely important point to remember.
Sorry its the sheeple Dems in the state going along and rooting for this garbage I was referring too... yes, the driving these things through from Newsome and others in political power in CA I believe is intentional. But the "retarded" part is there nonetheless... cause they're getting people to vote for these things. NCSWIC!
Well lets not forget decriminalizing sex with anyone is fine as long as there's less than 10 years age difference... Californication.
I don't like ordering delivery. I go pick up the food myself.
That way, it's hot when I get it, the food goes straight home in a few minutes... and I know exactly where it's been and how it was handled.
I don't want cold food, slow delivery or mystery ingredients added.
Pizza Delivery drivers know the bad customers and will shake your pizza.

Yeh, I took care of my best delivery customers.

That's a straight up dumb driver. An always tipper that close would always be at the top of my list....and were.
Help these days...sheesh

This is why when we eat out, it's at non-chain family style restaurants, or local BBQ joints.

Pizza Hut is nasty pizza these days... Even Papa Johns sucks. I get an extra large pepperoni pizza at Costco for 10 bucks.
Have you tried Hungry Howie's ? Different taste to say the least.
Aurillios is great pizza..if you are in the calumet "region"...they will ship overnite uncooked pie..(expensive that wat)..but fine
Uber Eats will pick up any slack.
Here come the pizza drones.
Newsomomics.
They will just outsource and use uber eats, etc. same amount of jobs, just change who pays the employees
So at this rate a college graduate should be making at least $75/hour, otherwise what is the point of a college degree? I know, most colleges and the degrees are worthless!
I call that a win.
Not good for the drivers of course.
So a $30 pepperoni pizza a great idea huh? It's $1.50 worth of stuff.
It's good to show the people what happens when the govt is a bunch of commies.
Its easier and cheaper just to make your own pizza.
$30 for a pizza delivered? I could buy a steak for less.
In other terms, CA approved reparations…
