Axshually, if the moon's corona refracts radiation off of the Van Allen belts, it could cause an inverse-square harmonics when it crosses the 5G waves here on earth, and kill off all life as we know it!
What the fuck does that even mean? Sounds like they know comms are going to go down, but which ones? Am I to prepare to use smoke signals? This whole thing seems like fear mongering, as it's hardly helpful.
Probably in reference to the immense crowds some areas will get that aren’t used to tourism. Some small towns will suddenly have 10x the normal amount of people in the area.
Was watching one of my usual rumble.com channels and he was puzzled by this as there was an eclipse last year. He was calling out the absurdity of acting like this rarely happens.
I wonder if this is comms for [them] b/c of it being 66 degrees outside during the 6th hour... then there's the eye next to the two towers.... maybe there's an event planned?
Ah, the downdoots of people who most likely were not there to live through it, or the intense several months leading up to it. It could've been really bad, but ended up going smoothly... Whew!
Amen! Anyone working in IT during the years leading up to Y2K was well aware of the seriousness of the situation - especially in financial and insurance sectors which are heavily date based.
At the same time, fear mongers got involved. Stories of planes potentially falling out of the sky and the need to build and stock bunkers filled the airwaves. It was predicted to be TEOTWAWKI.
We pulled out cash and stayed home for that New Year Eve - just to be sure lol. My dad was in computers so we knew it should be ok but with two young kids, just wanted to be safe than sorry lol.
Eclipse traffic is no joke. Even hours away from totality. If you want know what it would be like if everyone had to leave the cities, this is it. I went to the 2017 eclipse. I do not know how it compares to hurricane traffic.
Cell networks will grind to a halt with 10-100x the number of people they were designed for.
This is just normal Everyday Tips if you ask me.
Don’t worry. It will only affect liberals.

Yup. It was more important for my ex to go to wotk to make sure things didnt freak out with the computers than to spend our first new years together.
COBOL or FORTRAN
The biggest considerations will most likely be:
Nothing burger.
So we don't need to throw a virgin into a volcano? That's a load off my mind. /s
That’s for volcanos and Senate Hearings. Doesn’t apply to eclipses.
I've got my eclipse glasses ready

It's the cicada swarm everyone needs to worry about. Shits going to suck.
They forgot these:
Like in case the sun and the moon and the planets all get stuck, like when you cross your eyes and your friend whacks you on the back?
I wonder if this is comms for [them] b/c of it being 66 degrees outside during the 6th hour... then there's the eye next to the two towers.... maybe there's an event planned?
I have never heard anything like this in my lifetime. These people are stupid
People are pitiful. It's disturbing.
Y2K was real. Many programmers fixed many programs to make sure it ended up being a non-event. It wasn't a hoax.

Hurricane evacuation traffic sucks ass. Went to Houston for one after Katrina - 15 hours to get there from NOLA suburbs. It's about 5 hours normally.
