I have been wondering for so many years what was in those. The look of terror on their faces brought a smile to my face.
There has been much speculation and we kind of know what the content of those envelops must have been over all - but the exact message (I am thinking its some kind of code only they can understand for "We got you all") hopefully will be revealed when the curtain drops.
According to Juan saying it more than once as an aside in other discussions (i.e. keeping it pretty low key), the message was "Arlington closed." What I gathered from the discussion when I heard it that there was a DUMB under Arlington Cemetery and the white hats took it and substantially foiled some DS plot by doing so.
That is the one i have seen the most as well

These people are trained from birth to keep one appearance on for the cameras and another for in private. Keeping a poker face is as natural as breathing for them.

Laura was aghast, enjoyable moment. It took a few seconds for the couple of brain cells in Jeb!'s head to process, but he looked blown away. I go back and forth between sr swing on a rope and "They have it all" implying george flipped. You can see the level shame in george, especially when laura looked at him, that look told it all.

What I always found interesting was how the story just died with a thud after the funeral.
I would have thought the media would have spun it as some sort of MAGA hoax or evil white supremacists threatening "our heroes". Which would have happened if those with the envelopes hadn't taken what was in them seriously.
That leads me to believe that they were warned that any attempt to spin would be met with truthful disclosure - and the thought of that was worse than just covering it up and pretending it never happened.

Would things have normally been postponed for a state funeral though? If not it would go against the theory Bush was put to death for his crimes and instead implicate the DS in his execution as a way of filling the news.
