They don’t have televisions, but they know what’s going on in this country.
That is why they know what's going on ...
Do they use internet or radio? I don't know Amish
They use the original Social Media................They Talk & LISTEN
They eat breakfast as a family each morning around the kitchen table, they eat lunch as a family each day around the kitchen table, they eat dinner as a family each evening around the kitchen table, most of all THEY PRAY
How true.
I have Amish communities within 50 miles from where I live. We visit there twice a year for good food and products. They don’t even have electricity in their homes. They don’t drive cars, but will take a ride from us “Anglish”.
When I was on a road trip to the east coast, I saw them in their buggies.
saw a Documentary on the Amish couple years ago ,and theres different factions of the amish, hard core /no power/no gas no tractors ,only buggies/ mules Etc,and there's ones with tv/phones/ power Etc,the full gammet of lifestyles and religious beliefs.
The ones that use power are Mennonites.
Sorry, but you are wrong. Many Amish use electricity/phones,; they just have the wires running underground or have the phone in their shed or place of business/barn. I know. I worked for the Dept of Labor and did several investigations of them for serious violations of child labor laws.
One of my builders has an Amish framing crew. They have one non Amish that starts the generator and plugs in all the tools but they do use them. And they all come in one big van with the non Amish guy driving. They drive about 90 minutes each way. Cool guys, we interact with them all the time. Real jokers too.
It's cool to have so much information here. Appreciate this.
they CAN use modern technology but not own it. There are also loopholes when it comes to business.
Also for instance, they will use generators for electricity for business. They'll have cellphones in their driver's name. They'll have a van (in someone else's name) and kit it out with laptop, mobile printer, cell phone, etc. They understand computers just fine, if they need to. Around here there are a few with small engine repair business.
It all comes down to the rules for their district or whatever, the local "bishop" will dictate what is acceptable and what is not.
You can call it a cult, but when the power goes out they don't know. They are largely self sufficient with gardens, livestock, chickens, etc. Unless they are inbred, their kids are extremely healthy and strong and sharp. They work hard. All of them.
The one issue is they are taking over a nearby county. Population boom. When you have a dozen kids for generations you become a majority. They are not involved politically, they won't run for office, but they can certainly choose a Englisher candidate for local govt that supports their ideals, support him and vote for him and sway local politics.
Sort of the Muslim model.
But, I would say, they are traditional and will be supporting Trump for sure. They are going to support conservative ideals all day long and will vote when it matters, IE when they see plainly the influence of the evil left creeping into even the ultra-rural ecosystems such as the Amish communities.
Nice. I didn't even know that they vote but it's good they do.
Bull, they own cars, phones, electric power tools, etc. They have lawyers who will deny anything that goes against the storyline. They are also like Jews who believe that it is okay to lie to anyone not of their faith. The big difference is if you ask them the same question repeatedly that they lied to, they have to tell the truth by the 3rd time. You will see them squirming the 2nd time and that is their tell. Don't buy into the lie. I had to do child labor investigations into them and was fortunate to speak to a mother who "left" the religion. She sat with me for hours and detailed the hypocrisy of the Amish.
technically not a convicted felon until sentencing is rendered. no sentencing, no conviction.
Oh yes, technically. LOL
I think there is another minor technicality to be convicted of a crime : the jurors have to agree on what crime was committed.
But then again, I am not sure that such minor issues matter to the fake news.
Fake news just lie. They don't care about truth.
As my Amish-country-raised husband says, the Amish know something about persecution.
Be in the world but not part of the world. Amen.
They know one thing for sure, they hate the FDA.
I do too. LOL
In 2016 the Amish showed up in huge numbers. It made the news back then too.
Amen.
I believe they know this is a battle of good against evil, and not taking sides at this point would be the same as ignoring that evil.
I love the fact that they are against technology of all kinds. It's an eye opening information. Not even electricity.
So they will take over the world after an EMP attack.
They will survive.
As far as I was aware. The Amish usually go out of their way to be outwardly politically neutral. Even if it’s generally taken as a rule of thumb that they are Conservatives politically.
Yes, from what I heard. A Dog would know.
I agree - we have a large Amish community near us and they’ve always been quiet and in the background so to see them showing their support of President Trump and the country is AMAZING! Honestly I’ve been noticing a big change in the Amish. First of all, it seems like everyone is hiring the for home improvements, including me. They do great work, worked hard and fast at a fair price. Secondly I can get produce, livestock etc. from them too. And yesterday we had 10k race in my town and I ran with an Amish girl. She ran in a skirt and bonnet. She said she does it all the time. Her parents were there at the end to support her. I told them she did great and they were so proud. I was so surprised to see her and them. To me they are changing and it’s good!
Nice to know.
I'm Amish and voting for AOC because I hear she likes to sleep with several Mennonite and will drive you buggy.
LOL.
I see what you did there.
I live among them. They are all Trump supporters.
Nice.
There is a war against Amish farmers under JRB and BO and the FDA. They are smart, they understand where our freedom lies and with whom.
Of course they are. They don't listen to CNN
This might not be a recent picture. Those trees look like this was taken in the Fall.
You could be right.
I remember seeing them at a Trump rally somewhere in Pennsylvania.
Nice. They must be in many places then. I thought they were mostly Northern Midwest.
I grew up in Lancaster County pa and now live in eastern Tenn and there are many here among us....couldn't ask for better neighbors!
Nice to know.
Butler PA.
They don’t ever take vaccines nor eat food with additives so they’re much smarter than the average American. Overall the enjoy better health due to eating real food
Their kids also don’t have autism, nor ADD/ADHD nor allergies like the typical American kid.
We went to an Amish store during COVID lockdowns here in NC. They didn’t wear any masks. It was refreshing to go in and not be hounded about wearing a mask.
Yes. That's what I heard.
I've been using a hashtag I saw Dr. Frank use regarding elections. #VoteAmish Which means no machines in elections, instead, use paper ballots hand-counted at the precinct, with valid ID.
Amen to that.
"Been had it"...2016, 2020 they weren't bashful about flying the Trump flag. The devil was at the doorstep...
Amen.
Problem? What problem? I don't see any problem here at all!
It's like the Amish version of a Trump boat parade!
Thank you. True.
