That’s a great clarification because as it is pictured here, it actually reads kiss kiss, squirt squirt and that’s just kind of weird
So for those confused about the emoji being different. First this is a change to the X/Twitter platform, so it's only viewable on their website, for now, until then anything outside of there will be replaced your phone manufacture and that depends on the phone. Unicode is the code behind the emoji. That code is changeable by manufactures of devices, so a Google pixel and Samsung galaxy have different emoji, same with windows, iPhone, Linux etc. This is a form of censorship from Google and the likes because "guns bad". But not specific to this post. Find an old phone that hasn't been updated but can get on Twitter and boom the gun emoji is there,(haven't tried this but in theory that is how it would work) apple swapped the gun emoji for a watergun back in like 2016 with IOS 10 and everyone else followed soon after.
It's not just on phones, in Firefox and Brave on my PC it shows squirt guns here but shows the proper pistols only when I'm on X.
Yes, I did mention windows and Linux (PC operating systems) and browsers can have their own code to so yep that confirms that it's a change exclusively effecting the website or app.

Using Opera browser on a laptop, am seeing green water pistols on GAW. Black handled pistols on X and an android phone. Noticed right below the post on X, there is a post by InterestingSTEM showing the morphing of gun emoji's over the years.
Weird, shows up as water pistols on this board, click the link and it shows up as handguns on x.

Some users can see a gun and other's are seeing a water pistol. Not sure if location of the X user matters. I'm not a gun gal but I think the new emoji is a .38 or a .45

The image shown at the top of this post shows green, toy guns. When I click on it, to go directly to Elon's post on X, it shows authentic looking pistols.
And on my Android the guns at the top of this post are orange super soaker guns

I turned on my VPN to other countries and I still always see the real pistols, not the water guns. Maybe the make and version of the phone/computer?

I'm wondering if Musk left the water pistols unchanged on twitter.com but changed the emojis to actual guns on x.com.
What we're seeing is stuff that's coming out from twitter.com here on GAW and if you are on a computer, you hover above Elon Musk's profile or on any of the links on that tweet, it will say, "https://twitter.com/elonmusk?..." but when you click on any of the links inside the tweet, it will redirect you to "https://x.com/elonmusk?..."
So I'm guessing the change hasn't gone into effect on Twitter domain, but already in effect on X domain?
