Wait. Sticking this post so that people can hopefully read this comment. Do we have comms, in a way, here? Obviously he was in Hunt for Red October but I really don't consider that to be anywhere close to his most important movies
I saw something recently about conservatives in Hollywood. He was on the list. Don’t know if it was anything more than clickbait, but since he is no longer with us, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
God's voice sounds like a massive thunderstorm which terrified the Israelites at Mt.Sinai. God is also the one who gave James Earl Jones his voice. I pray he knew that and is now at rest.
I think he had signed off permission to use his voice through AI. I imagine if I am recalling those headlines correctly, we might see its use sooner rather than later.
Conan the Barbarian (1982) - James Earl Jones as Thulsa Doom
Thulsa Doom : "I wish to speak to you now. Where is the Eye of the Serpent? Rexor says that you gave to a girl, probably for a mere night's pleasure, hmm? What a loss. People have no grasp of what they do. You broke into my house, stole my property, murdered my servants, and my PETS! And that is what grieves me the most! You killed my snake. Thorgrim is beside himself with grief! He raised that snake from the time it was born."
Then James Earl Jones turned into a large snake.
Lesson to be learned: Never turn into a snake. It rarely helps.
That’s the movie I always think of as well. The Hunt for Red October. Great movie. I let it play in the background at home all the time. James seemed like such a cool guy. Rest in Peace friend.

Our Nation is Facing a Clear and Present Danger.
The worst I have seen in all my life.
We're hanging by a thread. And by a thread, I mean Nov 5 is Make or Break.
A Funeral and Betrayal
God Rest Your Soul, Admiral Greer, James Earl Jones.

That's not right. His most important role was Thulsa Doom in Conan the Barbarian.

RIP a great voice.

Hopefully he wasn’t a piece of shit.
So true. I consider the odds at anyone in the public eye being a piece of shit and have generally distanced myself from admiring the talented.

Rest in Peace James.
He had a voice God himself would admire.

Loved him in By Dawns Early Light- Looking Glass
Just in time to vote Democrat if he wasn’t already.
I admired his work. RIP.
This one really hurts. May the Force be with us.
Rest in Peace
Don't forget his role in Dr. Strangelove. His voice was just getting its first wind in Stanley Kubrick's movie.
I hope he was saved.
when he died in SW, he fulfilled the prophecy and brought balance to the force
May we follow his example.
RIP.
