The soon-to-be top Democrat on the Senate Banking Committee cautioned Scott Bessent, Donald Trump’s pick to be the next treasury secretary, to respect the Federal Reserve’s policy independence.
“I have been a fierce critic of Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s extreme interest rate hikes and lack of transparency, but I have never questioned that it is his job to make those decisions. It would be a serious error for the Trump administration to interfere with the Fed’s independence, as Mr. Bessent has suggested,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) said in a statement Monday.

Years ago during one of her re-election campaigns, the news happened to break that she was caught faking her Native American credentials.
I learned about it the night before and was driving to my office in Mass. At a busy intersection adjacent to my office, there was a group of ~10 Union hacks waving Warren signs on the corner since it was close to the election.
They must have assumed that I was a Warren supporter (maybe because I was dressed in business attire) so they continued waving, chanting their slogans and approached me to shake my hand.
I stopped to break the bad news to them and they immediately lowered their signs and looked pissed as it might cost them the election. I pointed out something else she did that was unethical, and they eventually figured out that I was NOT on team Warren. They called me some nasty names, but I was smiling all the way into work which NEVER happens
I'm pretty certain she's been installed by cheating as I don't know anyone that believe her policies are good for the sate.
