Federal government wants YOUR name, address, SSN, driver's license number registered in a federal database.
If you move, you MUST update within 30 days.
Fines exceeding $100,000 are possible.
And PRISON.
They want to TRACK YOU ...
Makes no difference if a few wealthy get their paid employee to put their name in instead.
Average Joe is now REQUIRED TO REGISTER IN THE DATABASE, subject to massive fines AND PRISON for not disclosing information that the 4th Amendment says you don't have to disclose.
That means YOU.

At 1:30pm Eastern time this afternoon, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit issued an order granting the government's emergency motion for a stay of the preliminary injunction put in place by a U.S. Federal District Court in Texas earlier this month, which had temporarily struck down the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) and suspended all reporting requirements.
So, what does this mean?
Well, it means that the looming deadline of January 1, 2025 for all reporting companies under the CTA to file their beneficial ownership information (BOI) reports is now reinstated. Companies and beneficial owners subject to the CTA have until the end of NEXT TUESDAY to file BOI reports or face penalties.
In its opinion, the Fifth Circuit Court said that the disruption caused by this stay would be "minimal".

I have a feeling this particular law is just the tip of the iceberg that dredges out a whole bunch of garbage to the full view.

Human rights should apply to individuals only. Corporations are much more powerful than individuals, and they don't die. They could trample individual human rights more than a government could. In fact they can combine and rule governments (State Street, Black Rock, Vanguard). There was an 1868 law about railroads that deceptively gave corporations human rights, and it has set many tangled precedents.
We are all about to find out whether or not there is any right at all to privacy and anonymity.
This looks like a typical burocratic overreach where they want you to do their job for them. If they have probable cause they can find anyone they really want. Those complying will never be the ones they're gonna need to be looking for anyway. If they can find you, arrest you, jail you etc then they don't need this law at all whatsoever!
People form LLCs all the time; leave it to fed.gov to presume that act of doing so implies potential criminality
I won't comply. In fact I'll dissolve my corporation and operate without any of their laws or regulations. No point in being legitimate for a bunch of crooks.
I was told that they’re looking to backenforce it, which is also illegal of course, so even if you dissolve your corporation, this law still makes you in violation for having owned a corporation in the past.

I don't know a lot about them, but they operate kind of like clubs, and they are legal. They don't have to deal with taxes and regulations. You can buy and sell to each other through the small PMA market that we go to.
Sounds like a reasonable angle, I assumed it was for all those fraudulent PPP loan scammers, I just had to report info on a side project llc, was stressful because it was formed over 10 years ago and I had misplaced some important documents but I got it completed and don’t have to face the threat of 2 years imprisonment, or $500-10,000 daily fines until completion lol
