Executive Order 9646 "Coat of Arms, Seal, and Flag of the President of the United States" (October 25, 1945, 3 CFR, 1943-1948 Comp., p. 445)
Prior to this, the Eagle's head faced the arrows.
Is it significant that Trump chose to give this address standing in front of what is most likely a historic, older version of the Seal? Maybe.
Is it a big deal? That's certainly debatable. However, it's an important fact that historically, this particular icon (i.e. the Seal in relief behind Trump) is real.
With everything we have learned about symbolism and how important it is to the satan worshipping pedophile death cult, I have to believe this is not an accident. I think the rats at Davos picked up on it immediately.
Still falls in line with what u/FractalizingIron is saying: if Truman issued the left facing post WW2, and the Resolute Desk was carved in 1880, then Trump using a right facing eagle could still bear significance, as no one is going to receive the Resolute Desk eagle to face left. They'd keep it original.
I was wondering about this, but I think you might be right. So, possibly, the team took a shot of the Resolute Desk and then enlarged it, shopped it a bit to create the backdrop for Trumps address. Stylistically, they look to be the same relief.
That is zoomed in image of front of resolute desk from JFK’s term (currently in Oval Office). Message seems to be “JFK’s ghost is behind me, and I know you cunts killed him”. On SAME DAY he orders files released.
Eagle head to left at one point was war, to right peace from what I recall. Double-headed eagle of Russia, inherited from Rome is supposed to mean “enemies to the east and west, be on guard always” (two eagle-like heads look out away from each other).
The Resolute desk was received at the White House on November 23, 1880, and it was used in the President's Office and President's Study until the White House Reconstruction from 1948 to 1952. After the reconstruction, it was placed in the Broadcast Room, where Dwight D. Eisenhower used it during radio and television broadcasts. Jacqueline Kennedy rediscovered the desk and had it brought to the Oval Office in 1961. The desk was removed from the White House after the assassination of John F. Kennedy, and went on a traveling exhibition with artifacts of the Kennedy Presidential Library. President Jimmy Carter brought the desk back to the White House in 1977, where it has remained since.
I was watching the event and noticed how big and beautiful that eagle was. It was, what appeared, to me on a green screen possibly but made to be very visible, as it was. My first reaction would be, you know how pictures flip things? Is that even possible that somehow it was flipped? Possibly because it was a projection? I mean it’s clearly facing arrows. And since Truman, 1945 I think, it’s always faced the olive branch to represent peace. And before that yes, it faced the arrows in times of war. I think absolutely this was done on purpose. And am surprised this is the first I’ve heard of this.
Maybe. That's a theory. A simple assertion. I'd like to see more evidence you could present that this assertion is accurate.
It could be that Trump chose this particular location to give the speech for other reasons, not specifically to make a statement using the seal relief in the background.
The design in the background is the "Hayes Design". This design was altered in 1945 by President Truman, turning the eagle's head toward the olive branch instead of the arrows.
You can see the original design in many locations, for example, the Resolute Desk shows the Hayes design.
There will be numerous examples of the Hayes design in DC, in the White House and other areas. What I'm curious to know is WHERE Trump gave his address from? Is it in the White House, or somewhere else?
Now understanding more of the meaning of the arrows and olive branch, when I watched this earlier today, all I kept looking at was that Eagle. I kept asking myself something looked different. Couldn’t figure it out. The way it was positioned off to the right of Trump, the three stars on the left. I mean usually the official seal is on the podium so it isn’t blocked by anything. And even tho Trump could have stood in front of that seal, clearly everyone knows it, but it was off to the side and took up most of the screen. Very obvious. Just seems like a clear statement for people to notice. I mean someone chose this image, Eagle facing arrows on purpose. And of course once people state inquiring, people learn. Like myself. We are at war. Maybe we should check on that EO Truman passed, see if it’s still there? And even then, there’s no consequences for turning the eagles head. Just surprised the media or something didn’t pick up on this. Or maybe they don’t want to talk about it.
Sit room maybe? Did he maybe go to Camp David or one of the local underground sites? It wasn't the Pentagon or the news would've made a big deal about his return. Wherever he went they had to have a conference room with a lot of bandwidth and CPU power allowing him to not have a halo like you see on some news appearances from some person's home.
huh. Dang. just spent 30 minutes digging and commenting (above, below), before I bumped into your comment here, AE.
I think there could be some interesting discussion and speculation as to whether the choice of backdrop (location) is significant or not, if it was comms or not, etc, and if so, what exactly it means, but I suspect it would be speculation, and nothing more. Perhaps.
The image isn't flipped. You can see what looks like "Ee pluribus unum" on the banner at the top, and if it was flipped the eagle would be looking to the right, but it would still be looking towards the olive branch.
No, I meant towards the olive branch. Take a look at the seal on the podium. The eagle is facing left, the same side the olive branch is on. If you flipped the image (i.e. looked at it in a mirror, or put a slide of it into a slide machine backwards), the eagle's head would be facing to the right, but the olive branch would also be on the right side of the image.

makes no sense. if the eagle head is facing towards the arrows and you looked at it in the mirror (i.e.: flipped the image) the eagle would still be looking at the arrows as the arrows would flip as well.
Right. I agree. I was responding to the OP who questioned whether the image behind Trump had been flipped because the eagle was facing right when it usually faces left, towards the olive branch. If the image had been flipped, the eagle would be facing the opposite direction, but it would still be facing the olive branch or arrows, respectively.
yes, I kind of get what you are saying now. if the image was of the eagle facing the olive branches, it would still face the olive branches if flipped. but it is not, so no matter how it is flipped, it still faces the arrows now. because the eagle was changed... (not doctored, changed)
Podium eagle is the presidential seal. May not be able to alter that. He chose the picture behind himself. That's the directions of my thoughts anyway. What you think?
Yeah - for the mascot. I guess Auburn's mascot is called War Eagle? Never paid much attention to Auburn although now that Texas is in the SEC I guess I'll have to start.
War Eagle is Auburn's "saying" correct ? Like Alabama's saying is Roll Tide? The only sports I follow now is NCAA football. I left Baseball when Cal Ripken and Nolan Ryan were gone. I left NFL when all the woke crap came in. Never liked basketball or any other sport really. College Football is still fun for me - as is poking fun at rivals. That is still ok, but try it for NFL rivals and you may find yourself in a fight.
That gave me a great mental picture of a bunch of elephants sliding down ski slopes on their butts, with their trunks up in the air trumpeting sounds similar to the old GEICO "Wheeeeeeeeeeeee" commercial.
That's kind of a big deal if this pic is real.
Pic is authentic
Deal is BIG
Eagle facing arrows = WAR
10 days7 days... DarknessThis guy notices.
Why 7 days instead of 10?
Trump has been in for 3
Ok, that was what I thought but wasn’t sure.
we're already 3 days in?
I dunno. Is DJT utilizing symbology here? I guess its hard to think that its a mere coincidence.
Digging in to this shows that Truman issued and exec order changing the direction the Eagle's head faces in 1945.

End of WW2 maybe led to the head flip.
Yes, I think that was it. The ostensible reason was "now we go for peace".
With everything we have learned about symbolism and how important it is to the satan worshipping pedophile death cult, I have to believe this is not an accident. I think the rats at Davos picked up on it immediately.

This is an image of the Eagle on the Resolute desk indicating it was green screened and a very deliberate choice.
Interesting... thanks
The 3D carved eagle relief appears to be the one on the resolute desk...

Yeah I wasn't disputing anything... just adding where the relief is from.

Fer Shizzle...
Possible that he's reverting to the original Republic and disregarding Truman's order as being part of the usurped regime.

If you invert the image the arrows and olive branch flip with the head.
So this is no accident. It was a clear statement. That’s very interesting. Well Trump is a wartime president. And we ain’t done yet.
"It was a clear statement"

B of A dude took the first salvo Full Force...didn't even know what hit him, so he just skipped over it.
As much as Biden's third Reich background was.

"Elite researchers"
Here’s you one. It originally faced the arrows, until being changed in 1945 by Truman to face the olives.
Guessing that was the indicator that [they] were now fully in charge.
If you look at the histories of all the biggest cities, 1945 was about when they all went permanently Democrat on their mayoral histories.

Is this a threat of war? Because the podium eagle faces the olive branch.
"The eagle's head position was changed from left to right by President Harry S. Truman in 1945"
So, yes, symbology, but I suspect that Trump did the speech in a location where an older, historic seal was in place.

Ah. It looks very similar I thought it might be "this is where I am, but that is where you are taking us."
I had honestly never paid any attention to the eagles head lol.
War Eagle! Head is always pointed toward olive branches in times of peace, like the one on the podium.
If the eagle faced the other way would it mean Roll Tide? Non-college-sports people won't get the reference.
Wouldn't that be an elephant?
Yeah - for the mascot. I guess Auburn's mascot is called War Eagle? Never paid much attention to Auburn although now that Texas is in the SEC I guess I'll have to start.
