I would vote for him again, but at the same time, I feel like maneuvers like this would be pretty scummy, and would set a detrimental precedent, even if it could happen. At that point, people would be voting for Vance for president, even if Trump would be on the ticket. If I'm going to vote for Vance to be president, and he wins, then I expect Vance to be president, short of an actually legitimate reason for him to be removed. Using Vance as a trojan horse to re-elect Trump would be like a slap in the face that would undermine the position altogether, something that would be completely counter to Trump's persona.

That’s why former presidents who served two full terms are disqualified from serving again. And, a couple/few weeks ago, PDJT was asked by an interviewer if JDV was, in so many words, his heir apparent and he declined to answer in the affirmative, noting instead, that it was too early to say (and, IIRC, something to the effect that A LOT could happen between now and then).
So, when - in addition to prudent caution - PDJT won't endorse JDV OR ANYONE ELSE, it MIGHT be wise to withhold support for ANYONE for a while (~2+-3 years).

President Trump could revamp the folks on the bench so there wouldn't be any decenting voices to say no. The majority of the American population would vote him in. The important undercurrent of this presidency should be to train Vance to the role, so as to continue the MAGA movement. Not everything in the culture will be accomplished when he leaves office and the existence of a strong and growing movement is paramount. Thinking we can rely on a third term is just procrastinating on the work that needs to be done for the coming 4 years. And it would ride him into the ground.
