Yes, they need convicted and hung. But IIRC technically they did not cross the line of saying to disobey CIC, they said to only obey lawful orders, and not to obey unlawful orders. Trump did the same thing recently not in so many words by reminding everyone of their oaths.

Keep in mind that this sedition is part of a RICO Conspiracy.

The government doesn't need to hold 20,000 separate trials for sedition, with the legal cases dragging on for decades. If the defendants play ANY role in the conspiracy, then they are part of the sedition conspiracy. Under RICO, if the conspiracy to violate U.S. laws in proven, then ALL members who played any role are guilty of being part of the sedition conspiracy. Only a few trials need to be held, with hundreds of conspirators being on each RICO trial at once.

Maybe the key isn't to individually convict each person at first (which will take a LOT of time), but to go straight for the cheese. EVERY member or the conspiracy (Politician, judge, Federal employee, law enforcement, military, etc...) who played any role in the conspiracy is barred from any Federal employment following the RICO conviction. Kick them all out... and they can never work for the Federal Government again. That part could remove tens of thousands of conspirators from Federal employment in just a few RICO convictions.
