Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Rules For the rest of the Site also accessible on the sidebar.

Fatfingerdata, com has a new poll up regarding Bad Bunny, the animated short with the Obamas in it and whether houses of worship should be protected. Spread the word.
We should all check the Epstein files for our representatives’ names, both on the state and federal levels. Do that regardless of party affiliation and we may come up with some hits.
u/Purkiss80 you familiar with a Franck Zanu?
Just stumbled onto a video of his but accidentally lost it before I could paste it here.
Unfortunately not my man.... 😉😁
I needs some opinions. I have a concealed carry permit and it is due to be renewed but my state has gone to constitutional carry, so I don't really need it anymore. It's nice to have for purchasing firearms, there is no wait period or going to get a purchase permit but I also don't plan to buy any new handguns right now. Sooo should I renew it?
If you travel at all, especially across state lines, your permit may allow you to carry legally in other states. Constitutional carry usually applies only inside your own state. Lose the permit, lose the reciprocity. If you rarely leave the state, that may not matter. If you road trip, it matters a lot.
Law Enforcement Interactions... In some states, having the permit smooths interactions. It signals you’ve passed the background check, training, fingerprints, the whole process. It does not make you immune from trouble. But it can reduce friction.
Keep in mind Permits are easier to keep than to get back.
If laws tighten in the future, grandfathered permit holders often have smoother transitions than people starting from scratch.
If it were me, and the renewal isn’t painful financially, I’d renew it. It’s like keeping a spare tire. Most of the time you don’t need it. The one time you do, you really do. But this depends heavily on your state’s reciprocity map and how often you cross borders.
For $55 I think I will just renew it. I do travel out of the state and as you reminded me, it's easier to keep it than to get it back.
What state with constitutional carry requires a purchase permit?! That’s not constitutional. You likely only need to purchase from an FFL and confirm you are not a prohibited person, I.e., felon, etc.
I haven't purchased a weapon since the law changed. I just know that it used to be that without a concealed permit, one would have to go to the sheriff's office and get a purchase permit prior. With the concealed permit I could just fill out the paperwork, wait 5 minutes while they file it or do whatever they do, then hand them cash and leave.
You can check the rules for your state online. The only reason to have a concealed carry permit in a constitutional state would be if you want to routinely carry across lines to a non-constitutional state. My attitude is that it’s none of the state’s business as to what I have. The police and others in your state should just assume that it’s possible that you’re carrying. “An armed society is a polite society.”
Agree. Never occurred to me constitutional carry states still issued permits. Hoping my state joins the growing list.
White Lotus season 3 spoilers:
The first two seasons of White Lotus say some insightful things about people who are shallow, materialistic, self-absorbed, status-striving, dishonest, manipulative, and predatory. The third season continues those themes but steps up the philosophical aspects by weighing important struggles between spirituality and worldliness, peace and violence, forgiveness and revenge, and friendship and self-seeking. It’s an HBO show so there are going to be annoyances such as the old Buddhist monk living a more Christian life than the self-identified Christian characters played Parker Posey and Leslie Bibb who have social rather than spiritual reasons for their church membership. Maybe that part is based on creator Mike White’s own experiences with churches who have lost their spiritual way.
Some possibly overlooked red pills provided by season 3 are the revealed preferences of Mook, the cute local Thai girl who works for the hotel. She is romantically pursued by Gaitok, a security guard who has not yet been issued a gun. At first, Mook appears sweet, angelic, and gentle, yet she is reluctant to go out with Gaitok who seems like a genuinely nice guy. Little by little, we get glimpses into Mook’s psyche and what makes her tick. We see her flirting with the more macho guards who flaunt their guns. She chastises Gaitok for not being ambitious enough to get himself assigned a gun and more responsibility. She gets very excited watching a bloody MMA match. Towards the end of the series, Gaitok gains access to a gun. When the cartoonishly narcissistic Thai lady who owns the hotel yells at Gaitok to shoot Rick, Gaitok thinks it over. Rick is no longer a threat as he is walking away while carrying his shot and probably dying girlfriend. Gaitok knows it’s wrong to shoot Rick in the back at that point, but he knows that the hotel owner and Mook will reward Gaitok for doing so. He shoots Rick in the back and both Rick and his girlfriend fall into the water and die. Gaitok is made out to be a hero and Mook agrees to go out with him.
Mike White seems to understand the violent propensities of many females, illustrated by Mook getting turned on by violence.
Remember to put on your armor this morning. With everything coming out I think the spiritual battle will be ramping up more.
That’s the very first thing I do every morning. Before I put my feet on the floor because I know the enemy is already on the move. That way he knows right away where I stand. Such great advice, thank you ❤️
With all the Epstein coverage, i had a flashback of listening to Sarah Westalls great interview(s) with Jimmy Boots and how it lines up with some posts on the emails.

Oh thank you for the link. I missed this interview with Sarah. She had such good guests. I did watch watch her interview with Diane Hennessy recently. Subject was the autism higher dimensions.
So Scroogle, being who scroogle is.
A bunch of woke Globalist MFs is going to be selling $20bn in debt.
Since they are bigger than many governments, are they just doing the government thing?
Selling you a bill of goods?
The sell you debt and the use it to pay EU fines there by proving up the globalist EU bucks and policies...
Thoughts?

If you wonder how the medical establishment can be so very wrong, just watch Dr. Death. The medical community went to his lectures and clapped like seals, while he did everything wrong, torturing people for years in the process--while doing copious amounts of cocaine, etc. They just kept passing him along to other health systems when it became no longer easy to overlook his misdeeds.

If McDonald's burgers and Big Macs really contained human meat...
Donald Trump wouldn't be serving them to people.
My brother in law worked for the stock yards back in high school and McDonalds always bought all the cheap sickly cattle that no one wanted that came through auction
It is still Feb. 9th for me!! HAPPY GULF OF AMERICA DAY!!
Ever notice how different cultures separated by thousands of miles if not entire continents have similar stories and Myths?
Dragons for instance. Cultures from South America to Northern Russia. Speak of broadly similar creatures. That shared some physical and character traits. Reptilian, Large, Hoarded various items. Often Wealth though not exclusively. That can’t be a case of saw some Dinosaur Bones and arbitrarily assigned traits. The odds of so many cultures settling on such similar ones is near impossible.
Gnomes. Cultures from Europe to the Pacific Islands speak of races of mischievous and or actively malicious midgets. Why?
Were-creatures are hardly unique to Europe either. Stories from Africa, Asia, North America, and South America. Many predating known European contact at least so it’s unlikely to be a case of cultural diffusion.
Vampires too aren’t a unique phenomenon. Similar stories and phenomenon have been noted elsewhere. Why such broadly similar traits though?
Giants I don’t even need to really elaborate on. Given how often it’s come up.
If I didn’t know any better. I’d say it’s almost like some sort of residual or fading collective memory from a singular source. Hence why some traits are shared between stories. While others have diverged with distance and time from the origin of them.
Definitely food for thought. Vampires could be globalists by another name. Didn't Putin make a reference to vampires?
There have been many varieties of the human genus on the planet in the past. For instance, there were ancient people 3.5 feet tall (https://humanorigins.si.edu/evidence/human-fossils/species/homo-floresiensis)
Remember that not all bones become findable fossils. So there could be much more that happened.
Because everything comes from the one true language. A language lost to us but that internally we still "undestand"
Same with the biblical flood. I don’t remember the name of the video, watched long time ago. Every group of people has a version, story of the great flood that flooded the world.
Indeed. Everyone has a Flood Myth. Though how humans survived can differ depending on the culture. The Ark isn’t a universal feature. Some don’t even involve boats at all.
Less than a month 'till daylight spending time!! I need some dark to light.
Vertebrate Origins on the Ropes...Again BY FRANK SHERWIN, D.SC. (HON.)
https://www.icr.org/article/vertebrate-origins-on-the-ropes-again/
In 1859, the Western world was turned upside down by the publication of Charles Darwin’s The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life. Ironically, one thing Darwin never actually addressed in this difficult tome was the origin of the world’s species. For example, he didn’t address the origin of the vertebrates—animals with a brain and spinal column—or any other group of creatures. He only speculated.
In the 21st century, the origin of vertebrates continues to be an enigma to evolutionists. Considering the lamprey, evolutionists generally maintain that “modern lampreys are a holdover from the distant past, resembling the ancestors of all living vertebrates, including ourselves.”1 Nature magazine recently stated that the larva of the lamprey (ammocoete) “appears to recapitulate [repeat] widely accepted scenarios of vertebrate origin. However, no direct evidence has validated the evolutionary antiquity of ammocoetes, and their status as models of primitive vertebrate anatomy is uncertain.”2
Lampreys (order Petromyzontiformes) are a unique fish without jaws, scales, or paired fins. Their mouths are heavily toothed and funnel-like, used to bore into the flesh of fish to extract body fluids. The fossil record shows, unsurprisingly, that lampreys have always been lampreys and have remained “almost unchanged throughout the past 360 million years,” according to evolutionary dating.3
But the ancestry of vertebrates tracing back to lampreys has fallen upon hard times with recent fossil discoveries strongly showing “ammocoetes are specializations of modern-lamprey life history rather than relics of vertebrate ancestry.”2
In other words, the now complete fossil record of the lamprey life cycle doesn’t show any of the alleged evolutionary recapitulation that secular zoology predicted. What this means is lampreys have basically been removed “from the position of the ancestral condition of vertebrates.” Tetsuto Miyashita, a paleontologist at the Canadian Museum of Nature, went on to say, “So now we need an alternative.”1 Margaret Docker, “an expert on lamprey biology and genetics at the University of Manitoba, calls the findings ‘very exciting.’ She agrees that the fossils ‘rule out modern lampreys as a model for the earliest vertebrates.’”4
An unofficial rule of secular biology is that when someone uses the word “exciting,” it means they were wholly unprepared for such a discovery because their expectations were built on the theory of evolution. The findings raise two new questions for them: why did the lamprey evolve into such a confusing creature, and what did the earliest vertebrates actually look like?4
Creationists suggest lampreys are designed by the Creator, Jesus Christ, not to confuse the scientist but to inform the scientist about God’s glory.
With the elimination of lampreys from their ancestral position in the tree of life, evolutionists are back to square one when it comes to vertebrate origins. But because they will not accept the biblical narrative of living creatures reproducing “after their kind,” secular scientists must look for an alternative that, like the lamprey, will never be satisfactory to their reasonable mind.
Even so, they still try to make it work. They are now suggesting extinct armored fishes called ostracoderms as “the root of the vertebrate family tree.”1 But there are serious problems with this suggestion.5 For example, although lampreys have been removed as the claimed ancestor of vertebrates, the internal structures of the head of ostracoderms resemble those of living—you guessed it—lampreys.
All wisdom raised against God will prove futile. Yet evolutionists continue to search the sedimentary rocks for missing links that, per God’s Word, will never be found.

was studying plant life and creation & looking too fast I thought at first “Vegetable Origins” but then caught myself and read carefully. Nice creation study for vertebrates. One doomer in my small fellowship group thinks God just coded DNA & all genetic possibilities into early life cells and everything developed from there in the swamp and shares every week limitations on God, on MAGA. thankfully, the group facilitators, and other participants are based and hopeful. Thanks for this creation study on vertebrates. (I’ll look out for vegetables some other time)
Psalm 27:1-3
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. 3 Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.
