ER Nurse talks about what she knows about Mitch McConnell's condition (bustednuckles.net)

Most people don't realize just how brutal field CPR actually is, especially without a portable defibrillator. Even a young healthy person can end up with broken ribs and internal injuries after the procedure. A frail 84 year old is going to look and feel like they've been through a terrible car crash. Broken ribs, punctured lungs and internal organ damage is not only possible but likely.

Not to mention the brain death that was happening between becoming unresponsive & being found unresponsive....

5 minutes and brain damage is certain. But proper CPR with O2 can push that out a long time.

My sister used to be a paramedic, and she told me that in their training they learned to do CPR on plastic dummies. When she finally got on the job and had to do CPR for the first time on a live person, it was an elderly lady. To my sister's surprise, on the first compression of the lady's chest, she said she could feel what seemed like almost every one of the lady's ribs breaking. It was pretty shocking.

I took first aid/cpr classes from the Red cross every 2-3 years for my job. I switched jobs and took a class from an emergency responder. He said if you’re doing it right, you’re probably going to hear bones crack. I told him that in 20 years of classes, he was the first person to ever mention that. I would have honestly probably have stopped if I heard bones cracking before I took his course. That’s an important point to leave out.

We don’t have leadership anymore, we have corruption everywhere, I feel like I am in a twilight zone. The hospitals/clinics/radiology centers, bloodwork labs, supermarkets, restaurants, etc full of strange employees from other countries, everywhere I go. This is getting out of hand where I live. Probably the Churches are really working hard to screw us up while we sleep. If President Trump think we have a safe border he is really wrong, I don’t have any idea how are the evil ones are bringing the illegals, maybe by plane? And I was born in another country but came here legally 💯 and I feel strange. We have been replaced.

As she has no direct involvement with McConnell in the ICU, she is just talking in generalities and statistics. So no, I don' t think this involves HIPAA at all.

I'm sure you remember 2021-2023. A giant amnesia swept the land and people uniformly behaved as though HIPAA never existed. Considering how in prior years HIPPA regulations were pounded into people's minds, with HR departments regularly foisting privacy training on employees for example, the sudden and complete evasion was astonishing to witness.

I was hiring an aerobics instructor in the early 2000's for a city recreation center, and she was pretty visibly pregnant. I was not allowed to ask if she is, not allowed to ask if she would be taking time off, how much, whether she was planning to come back afterwards, or even if she is able to perform the duties of the job at this moment in time of her pregnancy.

Needless to say she got hired (there were 3 of us on the hiring team, and I was outvoted because I couldn't "assume" she was pregnant and have it fall into my reasoning), she barely worked 3 months, I had to find countless subs when she couldn't come in. Three hired her, but I was her manager. City politics. She eventually took off to have her baby, got paid, came back of the week or whatever to justify getting paid, then quit.

It was delightful. Anyhow, yeah. But then suddenly, 15 years later, it's OK to hire and fire based on whether someone put a poison into their bodies.

HIPPA is not longer valid, the hospitals are sharing our information with third parties with those medical Apps and AI and computers. Do you think after all these governments are mandating these creep doctors to use computers and Apps and write all our information via networks our info is not going to be shared? That’s why I don’t have any app from medical industry. They (doctors) tell you is mandated by the government, it is all lies. The government is the corporations just that the government uses that title instead of corporations Governments= Corporations= 13 families, If you know what I mean.

The good thing is Kentucky passed a state law back in 2024 that removed the Dem governor's power to appoint a replacement. In Kentucky, by law, his replacement must be selected by special election.

She should not be talking about this as a nurse if she’s been involved with the patient or even working there and heard about the patient. That’s a serious hippa violation and you can in serious trouble including fines of about $50,000.00. I’m not sure about the dollar amount. My daughter is a nurse and her place of work doesn’t tolerate this. Also, maybe it’s true what she says about each day you are in ICU you have to have X days in rehab. It’s clearly not a 100% accurate. I almost died due to sepsis and stayed in ICU two days, one night in regular room. Had two surgeries about a month later after taking antibiotics for weeks. I know it was a miracle from God, and also a great medical team. I’m not old like McConnell. Maybe that’s why it’s different. I don’t respect any medical worker talking about a patient. I don’t care who the patient is or how bad they are. It’s ok to disagree with me. How would you feel if a medical employee was telling about your personal health issues? Especially just for likes and ten seconds of fame. I can’t stand people like this.

What HIPPA? It seems there are only two pieces of information: (1) the fact that he received CPA in the field, which could have been common knowledge upon arrival at the hospital, and (2) he had been in the ICU for 18 days, which is public knowledge. When it comes to important government officers, whose decisions can and do intrude into our private lives and livelihoods, I regard them as public servants, and their private matters take a back seat to their competence to perform their public office. Was Biden's mental absence a "private medical matter"? No, it was something for which we had an Amendment handy to deal with it. See what happened when his medical condition was papered over with privacy and the nation was run by an unelected cabal.

It's pretty clear that McConnell's senate seat should be declared vacant. That may alter the number of votes needed to sustain a majority. This is a matter of state, not a private medical interlude.

Probably this nurse is lying and like I said we don’t have HIPPA anymore. Doctors and nurses as soon they put our information online the damage is done. Btw did you get antibiotics for 2 weeks and got sick? My brother in law is in antibiotics for 6 weeks via intravenous and he already started. How is that you have to get surgery? Please can you explain to me if you don’t mind, is it something to do with antibiotics?

I had an 8mm kidney stone, most likely since 2012. I had passed one & another there. Didn’t know it was left. Should have been checked occasionally. I didn’t have pain & thought it was gone. There years ago this past February I woke up with awful hip pain. I have chronic pain conditions and assumed it was that. Did my normal treatments, lidocaine patches and didn’t help then essential oils. At 9am started throwing up. Took phenergan and still throwing up & pain not better. At 3pm told hubby we were going to ER. They gave me several things for pain and nausea. Finally after hours stopped throwing up and pain was under control. Had test run and they never told me anything. At 1 am, they said helicopter is here and we are flying you to (bigger) hospital. I’m thinking cool. Never knew how dangerous it was. BP bottomed out of chopper and they got me stable. Sent to emergency surgery and BP bottomed out again. I woke up in ICU. They said stone was blocking urethra and I was septic. The did pic line in my neck for antibiotics. (I think that’s the name). If antibiotics were given long in leg or arm chance of loosing a leg or arm. Left hospital with stint in (I guess to keep stone from blocking urethra). After several weeks of antibiotics at home had stone blasted one day. Two days later appendix taken out. They thought it could possibly be cancer in that area. Sent to cancer surgeon for that. No cancer thanks to the grace of God. No, wasn’t sepsis from antibiotics. I didn’t know how common sepsis can be. Funny thing hubby said if you get to feeling better at ER we are coming home. I laughed at him. I knew something was wrong. I know the primary doctor system is broken. But the emergency hospital system isn’t in my area if you are at the right hospital. I’ll never go to my local er again unless it’s something minor like needing stitches or minor things.

You are right about information being out there. I love technology and hate it also. I’m sorry about your brother in law. I hope he’s better soon.

Hi MB, I am sorry you have to go through all these crappy things. I believe water is the solution for all our problems. If we stop eating medications and vaccines even the flu ( means no chemicals of any type) we are going to be just fine. Also, important is to clean our bowels everyday. Remember God created the water to drink and wild animals only drink water ( make sure it is a good quality water) and they do not go to hospitals except our pets which are full of rabies vaccines. I don’t have my doggy she died of a rabies vaccine they gave her in 2019 I tried to save her but passed in 2021. My sister was very ill and I have been telling her not to drink alcohol or eat spicy food just water or natural smoothies like grapes and celery I don’t even take vitamins, I am afraid they are contaminated with poisons like rat poison (vitamin D) so I drink whole milk eat butter with fresh French bread or wraps if I want to eat carbs. These evil monsters are giving a lot of hard time to farmers so i don’t know what is going to happen, for now I just can tell you try to eat as healthy as you can no sugars no sweets no ice creams unless you make them, the only sweets I eat are the fruits. Thank you about my brother in law (he is a kind of leftist so I don’t say too much to him, he drinks a lot of wine because he studied in France (leftists) his masters degree which was in wine, so he drinks alcohol and on top he got the flue vaccine which contains the Covid vaccines ingredients and let me tell you he is not doing good either he got also an infection in his foot and he is better and he is getting antibiotics for 6 weeks through his veins but they put the crap inside his arm close to his heart ( new invention) to kill elderly American people quicker I guess. God bless and I hope you get better.

She is 100% OUT OF LINE and a piss poor, pathetic example of a NURSE in every way possible.

Likely, she has been terminated from her job AND reported to her respective State Board of Nursing for unethical conduct whether it's involving Mitch McConnell or Donald Duck. Her outcome would be, unequivocally, LICENSE REVOCATION. Patient Confidentiality can NEVER be broken. I wonder who broke her nose. It wasn't me, but congratulations to whoever did.

btw, I am a retired RN with 39 full-time years as an inner city Hospital Nurse, Nurse Paralegal, and 7 additional years as an Independent Legal Nurse Consultant.

Would you refuse to treat someone because they did not take the Covid vaccine, if your superiors wouldn't allow it? Or would you overlook the lack of vaccination and treat anyway?

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– killerspacerobot 1 point 2 days ago +1 / -0

I would be happy to accept that patient confidentiality is procedurally identical to classified information. If that is the case, an accusation of a breach of confidence would seem to require confirmation that the person accused had actually been "read in" to the patient's medical status. Had she? We don't normally charge people with security breaches if they are only repeating unregulated common talk.

As I mentioned elsewhere, the only specific information she mentioned was that McConnell had received field CPA, an item that easily could have made its way around Emergency Receiving. The other specific point about the duration of his hospital stay was available from any calendar (as also his age). I would appreciate understanding how reference to either of these items would be "unethical." As for remarking on what she saw as implications of these items of information, that falls under freedom of speech.

As it is, if her account is credited, McConnell is far beyond contact with the human world. Yet, the Democrat image mangers are already putting out news releases that important senators have been having jolly conversations / briefings with him over the telephone, with him responsive and cogent. Frankly, this looks like a Biden-esque medical cover-up.

Who has a right and need to know? McConnell is a public servant, put in office by the public to whom he should answer, so it is the public that has both a right and a need to know. The information should be coming directly from the attending physicians, not from intermediary, self-interested partisan filters (and liars). The only thing unethical I have seen in this affair so far is the willingness of the doctors to deny information to the public who deserve it. I think their fiduciary responsibility points otherwise.

He is not right on his mind, he sounds and look like a clone or a robot. He is not the same Mitch. A normal person doesn’t behave like that unless he has “brain damage”. I know he has handlers, something is not right on this story. You know I was checking another story about Sheriff Judd in Florida and they arrested 246 individuals and 46 are illegals? Exactly the amount and the press conference with him seems strange, it is like it is fixed. He always talking about the individuals arrested and saying that some came back to be arrested and he was trying to be funny this time. Pedos and traffickers are not funny. I have been feeling that everyone is lying about stories. I hope I am wrong
