And everybody did almost everything, except make the dough and the sauce. We pushed, sauced, topped, cooked, sliced, and sold.

I worked at a pizza parlor for a few years. We sold by order so there wasn't any leftove unsold pizza, well unless someone didn't pick up their order, which was rare.
My pizza cutting skills came in handy when I worked at Big Boy. I was the only one allowed to cut a pie without a pie-cutter, (which we never had enough of).

I think it's because of, as Fil from Wings of Pegasus would say, the overuse of autotune in commercial 'music'. Everything sounds so artificial, it's hard to tell them apart now.
