What if this is the final part needed to flip the most ardent skeptics over towards decertification/etc? I get the jaded feelings, right there with you, but me being jaded doesn't mean things can't change for the better. I was for decertification a long time ago but I wasn't the one stopping it from happening. What matters is convincing those who COULD change but HAVENT. The term Tipping Point means something. The question is, is this enough?

encrypt the files that are cp, so they're not openly shared and people curious on emails/etc don't download it
seed a torrent on an anon seeding site or two along with passwords to unlock the really gross stuff

I requested less sticky's once a couple months ago when there were ~25 stickys, since it basically removes the benefit of upvotes, so I do support that goal but it fluctuates a lot depending on how busy the week is, and what's going on. They do clean it up eventually, and not everyone F5's this place and gets tired of reading the front page. If you find yourself in that situation, check New or Rising and help put fresh content on the front page.
You could hear and see it take off, or see it go from transponders on to tx off. You could track most of them with radar, if you had access, possibly satellite, if you were at the right time and place, etc.

What's weird about it? How long have you been watching this area? I got caught up in plane-watching once, then I realized that I'd need years of history to be able to really determine what was unusual or not. There is a lot of plane activity going on we are normally completely unaware of.
Lead a smart person down a well reasoned path and they're not likely to stray from it. Doesn't mean it's true, just well reasoned.
In the newspaper reports, he was near a train stop with train tracks that are elevated above the roads. But at the stop there is a long path alongside the track that he could have been biking to catch the train where he could have "slipped" as the train approached/departed. Or he could even have been walking his bike to the stop when it happened.
