There are 30-something (Millennial) women out there who are going bald.
When was that ever normal??
I don't know whether it's something to do with vaccines or something to do with the food. Several of the ones I've seen were overweight/obese and seemed to eat a lot of processed foods.
Re: the pill. The very first time I heard a news report that suggested that taking the pill could least to breast cancer, I dropped it like a hot potato. That would be 1982 or so. I could not understand how women could hear that and keep taking it. Then the 90s came along with a sudden uptick in breast cancers in women. Imagine that.
"You don't want to freeze in the dark, do you??"
I don't know how people do it. I have friends that have meds for one thing and when something else comes up, the whole solution is to just give them more drugs. No drug company can claim that they know the interactions for all those chemical mixtures in the human body.
The rest should just show up and say that they "identify as POC". Imagine the chaos of trying to stop them from coming in.
So all the younger people who actually like and follow Taylor Swift are also into buying magazines?? That's just weird. They can access all the info and pictures they want online.
All that money for production and printing for things that will probably just end up being pulped.
And as soon as I typed that out, I wondered if this is yet another method of money-laundering. All the people involved in the production process get paid, the magazines aren't intended to sell and then someone gets to claim all of it as a loss...Sort of like Hollywood's "creative accounting".
He's always seemed like a scammer to me and that's going back to the early days of the Internet when i first heard about him. He comes across as the conspiracy community's own televangelist.
Is he a good showman? Probably. He seems to have made a niche career for himself by gathering up work done by "conspiracy theorists" and making it slightly more mainstream.
I'm kind of surprised he still has any kind of presence anywhere. If I owed $900 million to anyone, I'd be living in a box by now with bigger things to worry about.
Sending up flares means that he assumed someone would be watching for the signal. My question is how did he know that things were getting dire enough that he had to signal someone and that there would be someone out there watching for it?
Of course, he could have been a full-on kook and thought that if he launched the flares that some mysterious someone would know what it all meant.
That's a really nice take on it! I'll be looking for it when I watch the cartoon this season.
I thought at the time that he had been set up, something to do with "breaking up" the Eagles who were a huge moneymaker at the time. It even seemed possible that one of his bandmates set him up (or ratted him out) because there was a lot of bad blood between them.
Not excusing him at all, though. And of course, when you consider that alcohol, Quaaludes and cocaine were all involved (probably weed as well), who knows exactly what happened or which story is "true"? It makes all of them unreliable narrators.
From this archive of a GQ article here:
But things would get worse. Around 9A.M., on November 21, 1980, Henley called the L.A. Fire Department, seeking medical aid for someone at his home who appeared to he having a seizure. That someone was a prostitute, who turned out to be suffering from aftereffects of Quaaludes and cocaine and who also turned out to be 16 years old. Hours later that day, police came to Henley’s home and arrested him, after reportedly finding quantities of cocaine and marijuana in the house.
The interesting part about that whole event is that he claimed that the girl was a prostitute. As if the Eagles (who had been a top band for years) would need to call a madam and order up a prostitute, instead of just using the large pool of underage groupies that were common at the time. If Henley himself didn't know of any girls like that, you can be darned sure that the roadies did.
I did read it. You make a good point that they would have had to travel back to Aspen to attend - I have no idea where they were from originally and if attending meant a short drive or a flight across country.
I also get what you're saying here but I can also see Hopkins as being used as bait, just so the gallery owner and other local weirdos could get this woman to come back.
Logically though, if they told the owner that they were only in town for a couple of days and wouldn't be able to travel back, it does seem weird that he would keep pestering them. Was there something special about her and her husband (besides her being pregnant, I mean)? Surely there were tons of pregnant ladies in and around that area that he could have harassed.
Lord, I literally can’t believe I’m typing this out, but here we are….
I get that feeling. I talk about these things online because I don't want to mess with the people I know in real life. It's enough talking to them about things like covid/vaxxes or how the government isn't quite what it seems. I don't have to start bringing this horror to them as well.
I read an article ages ago that claimed that Roman Polanski had quite the collection of "films" that he had taken at his home, with various upscale California people - not just musicians/movie stars but also some political types as well. They'd set up a party with lots of booze and drugs and then, when people got loose enough, he'd film them.
The article speculated that that was one of the big reasons that the Family was sent to that house - they killed people who were close to Polanski because he was becoming a problem. The fact that the murders drove spikes into the Hippie movement (and created a huge climate of fear) was probably a secondary benefit.
This is not a time to expect a mortal savior, but a time to connect with the spirit God created you with. 2 rules, love God above all things and love others more than self. This is worth meditating on.
Good thoughts but I do have a problem with that "love others more than self" line. You need to look after yourself first because if you're not in good shape, you can't possibly help others in any decent fashion. That whole concept of "self-sacrifice as a virtue" is one of the reasons we're in this mess. It's the foundation of Collectivism - that the needs of others outweigh the needs of the individual. It opens the door to all sorts of manipulative actions.
"Love others as you love yourself" phrases it better, I think.
Exactly! Who gets to define this "common good" to begin with? The "common good" of the Irish who have lived in their country for centuries or the "common good" of the migrants?
Was there more to this story? Did she ever actually meet Hopkins at that party - she glosses over that part.
Seems to me that the gallery owner and the t-shirt artist are the creeps here. I'm not sure how Hopkins plays into it at all, except for giving this woman a chance to do a humblebrag on the internet.
(Don't really care about Hopkins. Ii don't know him and he could be the biggest weirdo on the planet for all I know. This person obviously doesn't know either.)
"Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group
So they'll be going after Planned Parenthood first because of the high rate of abortions in the black community...
Hahaha. Sure they will.
Weird, right? When things are going well, there are endless articles published about rich lefties, holding them up as some sort of gods that we should all look up to, and bow to their stupid ideas.
But when things get worse for them, none of them seem to be in charge any more - it's all "the right's" fault because they're the only ones with money.
Thank you for that drop. It was good to read right at this point.
Good point! There is so much of a "hidden" aspect to things Q-related that of course people are going to go a little loopy, trying to find answers. That's just human nature.
That's right. Bowie was so loaded ($$$) at that point that he was practically living on cocaine. He referred to himself as the "Thin White Duke", showed up on mainstream talkshows etc.. Bolan was no competition at all.
Good list. However, "Sorrow" was a cover, not one of his own and "See Emily Play" is an early Pink Floyd song. Funny enough, Bowie stole a lot of his early look from Syd Barrett, the frontman for PF and the writer of that song.
"Young Americans" would get him cancelled today but it's one of his best.
I was watching a couple of his last videos ("Lazarus" and "Blackstar") and had that same impression - that he faked his death.
My thought on it wasn't that it was anything to with going "higher level" but moreso that he decided to live out the rest of his life as a woman. Do the complete expensive change. The old "David Bowie" is indeed dead and the new person moves on.
Or it may even be that some of these people regret what they did for their careers, fake their deaths and then turn in all the evidence they can. A kind of atonement. He would have been in on a lot of gossip, would have been able to name a lot of names.
I first came across this iteration of Flat Earth about 7 years ago. There's been plenty of time for dedicated researchers to go out to the "edges" and sail/fly/drone around the circumference at least once. We should have positive proof by now.
Show us this ring of mountains or whatever is supposed to girdling the edge and I'll review my skepticism. Until then, I've got other things to think about and yes, like you I believe in some pretty strange things.
The ability to see your own foibles and laugh at them is the hallmark of being a stable person.
She sounds like a real treat to be around. I wonder how many of her patients would re-think having her as their doctor after reading that?
Too dumb to realize she shouldn't be posting screeds online like that but still presumed intelligent enough to boss other people around about their health.
