I've lived in Ireland for 20 years and 'fighting Irish' is really a myth. The overall attitude is 'sure it'll be grand, they wouldn't lie to us'. People are waking up more and more after this last fiasco so hopefully there will be a bit of a fight.

The Irish gov has been a shit show. We've had some of the world's tightest restrictions even throughout this last summer despite a reported 93% uptake in the stabs. Kept it going throughout summer so we could 'exit safely' by the end of summer. Surprise surprise, winter is here and the 'cases' are higher than ever.
