It wasn't until the last 10 years that I learned of abiogenesis of oil. High school science was "fossil fuel from dinosaur bones and decomposing plants". As I grew older, much like when my sister informed me about Santa Claus ("...do you REALLY think he has time to make it around the world in one night?) I cringe when I think of my company's reaction to the GF event. In one week, three or four high level executives sent company-wide emails, all with the same theme - "We stand with the protesters." This is the same company that used to push LGBT events, though they have toned that down, thank God. I recently discovered they provide hormone treatment and "gender-affirming" surgery for those seeking it. They also jumped on the "provide transportation to other states" bandwagon, when the Supreme Court struck down national abortion. My point? Woke is all around.
