I agree with OP. Stand down order, incompetence, or both. The result is the same. Amazingly, there is at least one "conservative" podcaster who steadfastly maintains it is all part of the plan. But I definitely believe there was Divine intervention.

They take us for nincompoops. They are over-educated, overpaid bureaucrats who couldn't manage a McDonalds in the real world.

This was not staged. Please stop making fools of yourselves.

Our hometown. Strongly conservative county. They love him.

Guilford county is where I live. Doesn't surprise me. The educational system is overrun by leftists.

More, please! "I don't know anyone who voted for Nixon!"

Ask my wife about that. I tuned out the "Part of the Plan" long ago. I check in here for takes on current events, that's it. Part of me suspects this is a watch site for the government to root out the "crazies". I've seen too many predictions fizzle, then be re-labeled as a "counter-move". God alone knows what's in store - follow him through Jesus.

It amazes me how the government agencies instantly know incidents "are not related to terrorism". But if they could implicate conservatives, err, I mean ultra-mega-MAGA, they'd do it in a heartbeat.

Yep, that's the word for the day. Sounds scary, doesn't it?

I definitely lean this way in my thoughts. All part of The Plan™? What if the upcoming election is stolen, as it probably will be? Is that just another scene in the movie?

OT says you can't win by a field goal on first possession, only a TD.

They did call grounding on that play. And the botched catch on the punt was because the ball hit SF teammate's foot, and he was suddenly forced to field a live ball.

It wasn't until the last 10 years that I learned of abiogenesis of oil. High school science was "fossil fuel from dinosaur bones and decomposing plants". As I grew older, much like when my sister informed me about Santa Claus ("...do you REALLY think he has time to make it around the world in one night?) I started to realize - that's a lot of dinosaur bones. Many lies have been fed to us in the name of science over the years, evolution included.

That is exactly what happened to me. God be praised, I made it. Ten weeks in hospital and 6 months off work.

Title is a little ambiguous. Seems to imply the government has no right to collect any kind of tax. My quick search pointed to Article 1, section 8 of the Constitution. Am I missing something?

I cringe when I think of my company's reaction to the GF event. In one week, three or four high level executives sent company-wide emails, all with the same theme - "We stand with the protesters." This is the same company that used to push LGBT events, though they have toned that down, thank God. I recently discovered they provide hormone treatment and "gender-affirming" surgery for those seeking it. They also jumped on the "provide transportation to other states" bandwagon, when the Supreme Court struck down national abortion. My point? Woke is all around.

Only a billionaire, e.g. Trump could stand up to threats of ruin from Deep State. I don't fault her. Look at the J6 prisoners. Would anyone want to languish in a filthy prison for years?

I claim Christ as my Savior. I have done many rotten things in my life, but His death on the cross covered them. There have been a number of times in my life where the awareness of existence just blew me away. Here we are. All this stuff. Functions in a way that sustains life. Chance? Temporary? C'mon, man.
