If leftists didn't have double-standards they wouldn't have any standards at all!

Citizens aren't supposed to vote on individual bills in a representative democracy. Citizens vote for their representatives, and those representatives are supposed to study the issues, write legislation, and vote on bills in accordance with their constituents. Having citizens participate directly consumes too much time, and you're less likely to get well-thought-out legislation.

If the elections are rigged, then you've got a separate issue in that your representatives are illegitimate.

If the electorate has an idiot majority, then you're pretty much fucked.

Swallow it quick, because it tastes kind of gross. I don't usually drink soda, but chasing it with cola seemed to work best. I'd also drink 1-2 glasses of water afterwards.

Then that's it. I've had friends report seeing dead worms in the toilet, but I did not have that experience.

My point is if you're in a situation where Gates water is being passed out for free, it would be helpful to know how to sanitize your own water using fermentation. Then you can provide drinkable, and more importantly storable, water (with a little alcohol mixed in) from natural sources, for you and your family. You would not need to accept Gates water.

I would like to know more.

What are some past dates and events?

I presume the American Revolution was the last one that the white hats won, and the civil war was the last one that the black hats won.

1800s UK actually had very low levels of corruption. The key was that the public officials had very little power, so it wasn't worth bribing them.

If the USA would stick to the actual constitution, Congress would only exercise their enumerated powers in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution. Anything outside of that should be made null and void.

Antarctica

I want to know. But I think the only way I'll ever really know is to go there, and I don't have that kind of money.

You're exactly right, and the article alludes to that as well with their FAIR program.

Insurers pulling out is part of the plan. Once there's not enough, the state can swoop in and save the day. I'm sure it will be great... at first, but then it will be terrible and worse than it was with the private insurers.

Centralized Planning Failure

The real reason is in the article: Proposition 103 is a price control on the cost of home insurance. The law requires California government approval for increases beyond a certain percentage. And the California government is putting up a lot of red tape to prevent those approvals.

So now you get Brandon's inflation for everything including cost to rebuild and reinsurance, wildfires which I'm pretty sure is just poor forest management and antifa arsonists, and the other assortment of natural disasters all combined.

If you're an insurer, California looks pretty risky. The only way to mitigate that risk is to raise the premiums. But you can't do that because of Prop 103 and the California beaurocracy. So your choice is to take a big risk on losses, or pull out.

Surprise Pikachu face when insurers pull out, and now there are fewer choices for insurance. Maybe no choices in the near future.

The free market solution to this problem is to let insurers pick whatever price they want. Competition among insurers will keep prices in check, just like competition for any other good or service keeps prices in check. (NOTE: Competition can't protect against Brandon and the crooks at the Federal reserve.)

Here's what's really happening in the UK

  1. The government has a monopoly on medical care, all in the name of "free for everyone"
  2. This girl's condition is costing the government too much money, so they're going to let her die
  3. The government will deny any attempt for her to get experimental care elsewhere, because if that care is successful, it will embarrass the government and get more people challenging the government

Resist socialism

The American medical system definitely has it's flaws, but one benefit is you're mostly free to pursue your own experimental treatments, so long as you accept the risks and have a way to pay for them.

Yes

This is exactly what's happening. They're following existing law. In the past student loan servicers were supposed to keep track of this stuff, and cancel loans when certain terms are met, such as all ontime payments for 20 years. They just haven't been doing that, and now the administration is making them do that to score political points with their base.

I'm a little sad this comment is not higher.
