Would anyone happen to know if that's the kind of thing that presidential immunity would prevent you from being prosecuted for?

Asking for a friend.

Cornyn was one of the first people on the morning news shows on 11-4-2020 explaining how the election results were fair and now we needed to get on with business because, thank God, that Trump MAGA circus was now over.

Cornyn was in a "Senate GOP Leadership" PAC with McConnell that took money from SBF and used it to help fund Murkowski's primary campaign against a MAGA candidate in a race where no Democrat was running in the general.

Cornyn was days away from passing gun control legislation that would set up federal red flag laws and a gun registry until a SCOTUS ruling would have made it all illegal.

But most of all, the thing I'll always remember about Cornyn... how he posted a picture to twitter about the delicious looking tomahawk steaks he was having for dinner while I was huddled up with my neice and nephew under blankets for warmth during Snowpocalypse and ERCOT was too afraid to fire up our reserve coal plants because of the EPA CO2 fines.

At best, this guy is an empty suit who wants to maintain the status quo.

Forget this turkey, and let's draft Rand Paul instead.

Oi! You got a license for causing public disturbances? And you need a permit to defy the legal orders of a fully certified coffee shop cashier.

Yeah.

They're going to "fix it" by rooting out and firing all the disloyal and disruptive complaining malcontents and can get the company back to a diverse collection of particular individuals who all have the same opinions and think only approved thoughts.

Or how about the SEC? "Hi, I'm Agent Friendly and I'm here to review your trading and communications records for the past decade, Senator."

IIRC, the IRS was used for "indirect funding" of Air America and some other CIA shenanigans in southeast Asia during Vietnam.

And in which court where he was presumed innocent did he face his accuser and was found guilty by a jury of his peers?

Or is he just guilty because the Colorado Supreme Court wants him to be guilty?

Since when are bioweapons not WMDs?

And why aren't other agencies picking up the investigation if the FBI has surrendered their jurisdiction in the case? At the very least, INS would be interested, yah? State agencies? Military? Customs isn't interested in how it's possible to just ship a vial of tuberculosis to a private address?

Wait... so if a US President called me "bitter" and said I "cling to my guns and religion" simply because I opposed a national health care tax and it hurt muh feels, that means he practically comitted genocide?

What if a candidate called me deplorable?

"The Wealth of Nations" by Adam Smith.

The source of the idea of a "free market" and "Invisible Hand"... basically, it's how/why capitalism works and that the best way to build wealth for everyone is to gurantee private property rights, not confiscate and divide everything equally.

Ah, yes. The good ole phalanx.

Where the entire key to everything is the strength of PVC framed fabric banner shield and the strength of the $PREFERRED_GENDER_PRONOUN next to you.

I think a mistrial is the point.

They want to keep Trump tied up and off the campaign trail (whups) and waste his money defending this crap. If there's a mistrial, then the bogus charges are still hanging over his head and they can keep harassing him both in court and in the media. If there's a ruling, either way, the issue is essentially closed for 2024 election (which is the one they're trying to interfere with) and Trump is free to go start more fires in the media and make the UniParty look bad.

I think the judge and James are counting on a mistrial and trying to provoke it.

But rather than do the expected Trump just takes the stand and starts saying all stuff on record and to his face that judge forbade him to say on TS. He's literally campaigning from the courtroom instead of sitting there taking his punishment, and there's nothing they can do about it.

I think we all agree.

The choice is clear.

Congratulations, Speaker Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Same way they went after Madison Cawthorn when he started telling everyone about the coke parties and hookers. They'll do everything they can to make Gaetz look like a narcissistic prima donna who isn't "humble enough" and who keeps rocking the boat rather than "cooperating" with Democrats, and then put some boring bag of hammers that's easily controlled up against him in the primary. They'll spend millions of dollars (both in the open and under the table) on the campaign to make Gaetz look like a self-centered asshole who just wants to shutdown government, and the media will do everything it can to supress his responses.

I think we can also expect some more fake charges, and if those don't stick you can expect our FBI/DoJ wunderkin to start harrassing his family and friends and looking to plant something the media can run with.

Basically, they aren't going to "remove him from Congress" physically, just burn down his rep, his fortune, and his support structure until he either decides to quit or gets replaced.

Expect a wave of DS shill accounts posting crap on here like, "Wow, I can't believe Gaetz has to strangle a puppy to climax!" or "Shocking proof Gaetz is working with Soros!"

My WAG is they were probably returning to homebase for maintenance or recharging. Maybe there was a fault in the code and the default is to head back for a firmware upgrade.

What concerns me is that you have a grade A, all-star, Chief Number One threat to public safety right there. Imagine a firetruck having to plow through those congested streets to try and get to a burning house before it becomes a burning block of houses. Or an ambulance with a stroke patient racing the clock to get to a hospital.

They can tell all the other people in the unemployment line about how great this economy is, how we pulled off the "soft landing", and everyone is just so flush with cash now we gotta keep jacking up those interest rates to prevent the wage/cost spiral from exploding.

I think that's what Trump meant by how he needed one more indictment. They need the evidence to subpoena to establish the final, hidden part of the corrupt org and flick over the first domino.

Standing up for your principles and doing what you think is right is never easy.

But I absolutely guarantee you'll hate the person you become if you let people scare you into denying who you are and what the truth is.

Kind of like an ice cream truck.

Except they're playing the glockenschpiel muzak version of "Janie Got a Gun" or "Jeremy" instead of like "Greensleeves" or "London Bridge is Falling Down".
