With all due respect, I do not understand patriots putting masks on school children (3-12 year olds). Ok, for teenagers, I might tell them to push through this, just keep it under your nose, etc... But it's totally unacceptable to me to put these on children, and yet most of my people (patriots) are going along. I would have yanked my child out of school if necessary. It's been a huge disappointment for me in my fellow critical thinking patriots. I'm choosing a preschool next year, and it's my lone criteria. I found a couple schools not doing this to preschoolers and I'm totally shocked again that they weren't already filled up.

I agree! Up to this point (4-1/2 years), she's been with at least one of us (mom and or dad) every moment of her life minus maybe i dunno 50 hours?
However, she is an only child. I want her to experience the joys of growing up around other children as well. If there's no maskless pre-school in the Fall, then I'll work on finding a "pod" of like-minded parents that we can all meet together regularly. At this age, she is WAY beyond others educationally but good education from mom and dad will probably only work for so long.

Instead of trying to make the planet a better place right now ( that is great too ), it is far more impactful and prudent to fix it at a root level to secure many generations into the future. I sympathize with you being from a deep blue area. I get anxiety now whenever I have to wear my mask. I found some awesome mask online that are basically just decorative and allows for breathing. I think it'll make this charade more bearable
Here's one site, that was referred to me by the Doug Hagmann people. I ended up buying a fabric similar to the glittery spotted one (in black) from Joann Fabric. I simply cut a ~ 4 x 6 inch piece, put black athletic tape around the borders (fabric too light for sewing, by trial and error). Then through the tape/fabric I sewed the two black elastic ear-holders. It drapes down and is not bound at the chin, so I can breathe, and the fabric is quite light and breathable too. Most times I fold by the ear pieces to have the fabric just hide my mouth with the chin exposed. No complaints from sheep. One storekeeper said, hey that mask isn't on right, and I said, yes it is.

Anecdotally, while shopping in grocery stores I periodically see young children (oftentimes mask-less) in their carts, parents sometimes wearing masks, other parents mask-less. I always smile at the toddler/child and notice how they’re just fixated on my face (probably because most other shoppers are masked/faceless), turning to follow me as we pass in the aisle. My point being they’re drawn like a magnet to seeing facial features. As more people remove the commie face diapers and society returns to some level of sanity, I’m hoping the kids will bounce back to having normal, healthy perceptions and emotional development.
"This BS" will end as soon as we go out with pitchforks and torches and string these scumbags up from the nearest tree. These are crimes against humanity and there's going to be hell to pay.

Sad story here. I was in a Costco recently - masked, of course because they won't allow shopping without one. There was a little boy maybe 3 years old or so in the kiddie seat of a cart. He was saying "hi" to everyone (as little kids do), so I said hi back to him. He got a sad/puzzled expression on his face, then said hi again. I said hi again. As I walked away it hit me - he couldn't see the expression on my face, had no way of knowing if it was even me who had said hi to him and it upset him. I felt really bad about it and wished that I'd had the intuition to pull my mask down so he could see me talking and smiling.
To add another level of horror to this - how many people are putting their kids in cloth masks? How are those cloth masks being washed? Are people using unscented products? What are the long-term health hazards of putting a chemical-soaked cloth over a kid's face? This certainly applies to adults as well, but moreso for kids because their brains are still developing.
They have been doing it for years with the “Don’t talk to strangers” thing. So instead of people socializing, everyone is afraid of everyone else. For example, when someone is in your path, or something like that, say at the grocery store...they always say “sorry!” first...instead of Hi...or Pardon Me etc. They immediately apologize for their existence.
It has nothing to do with what I can visually handle. I have seen VERY disturbing things.

My 80yo mom in in a nursing home that forced her to take the shot. There is no way to avoid it because she has dementia and runs away from home if we try to care for her there. I did some hard thinking before it happened and decided most of the proposed issues. She mad it through the actual administration. She is harping on my dad to get it.
My son Bday is this weekend and we are planning a family thing with my Dad at their house. I asked her if she could come. When she responded no. I used the opportunity to ask her why if she took the shot she is still locked down? Still wearing a mask and sill social distancing. Her response? Hey wouldn’t even let a woman go to her husbands funeral.

I'm shocked when I see my neighbors and friends drive in their car with the windows up AND with masks on.
