I never really cared about any of this, who was gay, etc. until I found out my sibling was gay and it has destroyed my entire family, first slowly over decades without knowing and then all at once. We will never be the same. The heartbreak never really ends.
It has happened with a family member here too. I suggested caution with one of our young family members when they were about 9 or 10. Every single family member said I was reading too much into it & were also worried about their sister who was being groomed by a family friend at the same time.
It amazes me that they all claimed this trans coming out surprised them all. I feel badly for the child, they clearly needed more attention as a child & loved when I came around & was excited for their well earned accomplishments.
