This is a call to action. If you are Blessed with having access to a local news paper or outlet, or know of any, please post here and I will compile them for ALL of us to support.
I'd start us off, but I'm in the Tampa Bay area and our local paper The Tampa Bay Times is slightly Right of Mao (only because of their sports coverage).
If you don't want to be specific to your area, perhaps you know a "friend" who tells you "The Pleasantville Gazette" has some journalists with integrity.
International local papers are MOST WELCOME, as are REPUTABLE online sources. But print publications, on the local level are supremely important - as is supporting them and sharing their reporting.

I've noticed that dichotomy with the Herald. Going to leave it off unless others object. It's good they're not completely biased, but I, personally, am unable to put them into the "completely trustworthy local news" category. Thanks though! If others disagree, let me know.

More based than Western counterparts. Panorama is a decent news segment. Wish you guys could read the comments, there's a noticable number of based folk in the Baltics.
They do give equal air time to dissenting and differing politcal ideologies. At first this can seem off putting, but trust me... Anytime some commie crazy gets air time the public at large is repulsed by their notions.
Most people who lived under the iron curtain have memories of the horrors of the past, which has been ingrained into subsequent generations. Similar probably to any region post war. Lest we not forget mantra.

Is this a list of trusted I.e. accurate news sources or simply "not Marxist" news sources?
I think that Rebel News does some fantastic work and covers stories / perspectives that cannot be found in the big Canadian news sources. However, they also put out some really cringy stuff and sometimes appear to be fanning the flames of outrage rather than just simply reporting the news.

To be fair, I wanted this to be a list of local hometown papers that Pedes trust the journalistic integrity of... I've read there's a few out there, but I can't vouch for them myself (The Ohio recommendations come to mind. Heard tell of some in Tennessee, etc).
Not a huge fan of the fact this is going mostly ONLINE sources - but I'm just now checking the comments after 5 hours away, maybe there's some surprises further down the thread.
So, AS IS, I guess this will at least be a source of "not completely horseshit" sources that people can cross reference with their own critical thinking skills and research. But I guess, any list of sources should always be treated that way. Trying to not get too disheartened, but also pleasantly surprised by the INTERNATIONAL input thus far!

Giving it a brief whirl, checked his "NEWS" broadcast. This strikes me more as a podcast type thing, which is great, but outside the scope of this project.
PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe someone should do a "good podcast" thread?

In my experience beside our patriot news only local news can be somewhat reliable. I do expect many of the senior editors to be compromised but many Journalist working their generally believe in the system and some are doing real journalistic work.

A highly passionate and dedicated team. Highly recommend giving them a bit more of a gander :)
