What happens if ATCOs walks out? The ones left will have to work as long as they’re allowed based on rest-rules, usually around 2 hours before they need to take the legally mandated break.
The watch supervisor, in cooperation with the central flow management unit will have to calculate the maximum allowed traffic in each sector, and if nobody’s there, that number is 0.
Traffic the needs to reroute through different sectors, ATCCs, bringing the sector capacity up and above the limit, resulting in delays (SLOTs) and cancellations.
If the French, Italian and Spanish ATCOs decides to join their fellow countrymen in their demonstrations against mandates, it will have huge impact on European air traffic.
I’ve seen on the Swedish FAA site, that 70% of Swedish ATCOs are cucked into submission, so I don’t this kind there will be a walkout here.

More importantly, they don't qualify for disability benefits because a flunked medical doesn't translate into not being able to work. A rough analogy is a surgeon who permanently injuries his hand. He may not be able to operate, but can teach, see patients, etc. But he was making a hell of a more as a surgeon. So they have a lot at risk.

So my daughter and I flew Southwest Friday from Dallas and Orlando and we had all sorts of issues. We were lucky that we were on the early flights or we may not have made it to our destination. Her second flight was held up by not having flight attendants. My direct flight left late but may have just been a mechanical.

The pilots won’t fight...the controllers are a government union....they are protected.
