"Why would I wear a mask to walk to the room? I need to take it right back off for you to do the cleaning, right? Isn't that wasteful?"
She finally said "Yeah, I guess that doesn't make a lot of sense." I asked the dentist as well. He sort of chuckled about it. More people in Ohio where I live are wearing masks again. I frequently see cars, with just a driver, driving alone with a mask on. I want to scream at the insanity and fear. A large portion of people in stores wearing masks are African Americans. Whether they are donning them as protection or in compliance of signage which reads “masks are suggested,” or due to “ if you aren’t vaccinated, we request you wear a mask” is anyone’s guess.
