A special thanks to the men and women that have fought/fallen for our many freedoms in life. These individuals will always be at the top of the list of care, and will never be forgotten for the many sacrifices they have given. God bless them and their families and thank you for your many services, and thank you for our freedoms!
Upon my fifth & last return from Iraq as our jet taxied into DFW two fire trucks sprayed an arch of water over the jet while flying huge American flags as we pulled into the gate. Two lines of Patriots slapped our backs, shook hands & waved flags as we disembarked. I needed to transfer to another terminal and a beautiful woman drove me in her Mercedes convertible. I’ll never forget all of that…it was salve to my wounds. Would that have occurred in some liberal city? Heck NO. In contrast upon flying into my home city my liberal ex-wife didn’t even pick me up. ie salt in my wounds. God Bless each & every Patriot who’s heart is pure and beats for freedom. 🇺🇸 💕
It was exactly as I wrote too. My thoughts were what if I’d flown into Chicago or some other liberal stronghold? My -ex sealed the deal on that thought.
Fellow Texas vet here fren. I believe our Second calling is upon us. Being older now I may not last long but I will NEVER FORGET MY OATH as I know you will never too fren. Peace and Love be with you and EVERYOTHER PATRIOTIC AMERICAN OUT THERE. We must Stand Strong and Steadfast. We must never give up
Welcome home. I recall the '70s, and never understood why the hatred towards returning vets. Since Q, now I do. It was about the DS shaming anyone for doing their duty, serving the nation, and surviving.
Also, thanks for teaching the children. That can have a much bigger impact than many realize. Sad to say, if it had been up to my parents, I would have never lived up to any of my potential. It was a few good teachers (and a friend or two) who suggested I should consider going to college. Not that college is everything, but understand that my upbringing strongly discouraged anything like that. I can't even tell you who all my teachers were that encouraged me, but looking back, it was often the "little comments" that made the biggest difference.
I try to return the favor when I can. I sometimes run into people working jobs that really don't fulfill them. We'll be having a conversation and they'll say something like "I've often thought about college or tech school". So I'll ask them what are they interested in, and try to encourage them to explore their options. I try to make a point of telling them "I think you can do it". Seems like a lot of people aren't used to hearing that.
Most American Legions have an empty chair setup for the fallen where respects & prayers can be made…as you probably know. Sometimes there’s a place setting with forks, knife & plate. Sometimes the place-mat is a mirror. 💝
One of the GREATEST parts of my Great Awakening is realizing how brainwashed I was in my views towards the military and our veterans.
Frankly, I'm ashamed of how I was manipulated to think of them, and it's something I'll regret forever. (They) really pulled the wool over my eyes on this subject for many years. It's embarrassing and I'm sorry.
Veterans, thank you all tremendously for your service and sacrifice. I know I'll never know some things you do. But it's what we do when we're awake that matters, and I'm making up for it on this particular tour of duty.

Normally I talk with all my Corpsman and Marine buddies today. Today I’m fucking pissed off! I work for a woke Hospital who is about to shit on my Constitutional rights and fire me for my vax status. The same Constitution we Vets swore to protect. Fucking bastards have all kinds of fake “we are #1 employers of Vets”. “We honor our Vets” on their Home Page. I want to throat punch these commies! How dare they shit on my rights and act like they care about us. Clown show.
Thank you!! The 5 years in the USAF were some of the best of my life. I have a lot of veterans on my side of the family and we are about to add another.
Thank you to all vets. Especially Marines. Semper Fi! I went to dinner with my husband and was getting teary eyed as a man his age (70) passed by and said, "Semper Fi. We were lucky to get out alive."
I did 13yrs as a SeaBee and got hurt on my last deployment so I was medically discharged. I was the only male of my generation (9 cousins) who felt the call. My father and all of his brothers served and felt it was a part of becoming a man and giving back to a country that treated us so well. I am not sure the country I sacrificed for still exists and I certainly would not recommend joining to any of my family members.
Thank you to our veterans who BELIEVE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CONSTITUTION. The rest are a bunch of fucks. Any veteran who opposes freedom and liberty receives zero recognition from me today.
Thanks to those among us who have fallen, to their families and to those who came back less than whole. It is our honor and privilege to remember them and what they freely gave.
To all of those who felt the need to stand and or die for us I salute you with a McCallan 12. Unfortunately you all are not here to share it with me so I will give it my best in your venerable honor. Cheers boys and girls.
One day a French journalist was interviewing a veteran of the Great War. He said "At night when we slept in the mud, we could smell the rats running over us". The somewhat silly reporter “Weren't there any cats?” The veteran replied, “Yes, we ever saw one. We cut off his head to eat it because in the first line we only ate half-rotten meat ".
Yes, we all own a debt of gratitude to those that served. We also pray for our fallen heroes and those with life altering injuries and their families who so often suffer in silence. May God bless you all and keep you close to His immaculate heart. Amen.

Wow...what a great welcome home that my wonderful Texas gave you!! Glad it was the homecoming you needed to heal. Five tours in Iraq! o7
I'm picturing the fire trucks, arch of water, being greeted by fellow Patriots and the beautiful woman in a Mercedes convertible!!
Make sure you include all of this in your book!
It was exactly as I wrote too. My thoughts were what if I’d flown into Chicago or some other liberal stronghold? My -ex sealed the deal on that thought.
Yay!
Welcome back and thank you for your service, from one vet to another.

Many restaurants in my small Texas town do this. I love to see the respect and remembrance. 🙏😔🇺🇸
It IS THE WAY 🙏
Well said u/Vindicator/63!
I understand as much as I can since I never served but have many family members who did and were blessed to make it home.
Thank you for educating your high school students...so critical for the future.
God Bless you and ALL who served. 🙏
Welcome home! 🇺🇸
It's all worth it. u/#Trumpflag

Amen! And to all of those veterans that continue to pass their knowledge of history, and their wisdom from the battlefield to the younger generations.
I wouldn't have woken up as early without them!
Thank you to all that have served.
For being pawns to the evil elite.

Thank you!
My grandfather was one of the 11 survivors of two companies in Verdun.
Honor to him and to all his comrades.
🙏😔 Honor to all!

It was my pleasure.
If I could do it all over again I would stay in many more years. I miss those Navy days.

Has anyone seen the Google image for today ? It shows a cross dressing vet that can't figure out if its a man or a woman.

Thanks I am glad to have served this country even thru all this craziness we are going thru.
Custom flair.??? How?
The mods do that.
