I donated twice back in the day, but on the third attempt the volunteer (not a nurse) "missed" my vein, nicked the side and caused it to bleed out inside my arm. Had a GIANT bruise on my left arm for weeks! I couldn't even bend my arm for 2 days after the incident. After that I became too scared to go back, especially if the person trying to draw blood is some rando volunteer.
