I agree with that! I'm very utilitarian in my gift giving. My favorite gift to give (and receive!) is garbage bags. Hear me out. When you go grocery shopping, do you wince when it's time to buy garbage bags? I sure do! What better gift than a year's supply of garbage bags? You'll be thinking of me all year when you take out the trash!
I am a different person than when I was a child. I would have hated anything that could be deemed essential. Now I get pissy if i don't get socks and underwear. Like you want me to buy my own?!!! lol. Trash bags would also be acceptable!
Buy gifts from MyPillow or Stocking Mills Coffee... between those two based companies, there is something for everyone.
I just got a MyPillow weighted blanket. That thing is dope!

I purchased a couple things from MyPillow earlier in the year. I was unaware that they have weighted blankets, but already have one. 20 lbs is top tier! They do seem to have a selection to rival others but it really isn't the point I was trying to make. I purchased things that were necessary, huge discount according to the site and my basic research which is why I choose MyPillow. The bed frame I got was made in India, however, not exactly what I was expecting but it is a quality product.
Back to the point I was trying to make though. Most corporations are literally hemorrhaging money until the Holiday Shopping Season. We should focus our anti shopping to the ones that were in favor of the shutdowns/lockdowns of basic life while promoting the governments attempt at a full on take over. The Government attempted a coup against their own people and we must take them to task for it. What a better way than refusing to shop during the time of year that both the Corporation (shopping) and Government (taxes) benefit the most from. Think about the chaos if everyone just stayed home this year. Not spending on gas, parking, shipping, useless goods and services. They wanted a shut down, let's give it to them! We can survive without the mundane that they force down our throats every year. They cannot survive without us buying their junk. MyPillow will be OK, I am pretty sure of that.
They tried to snuff us out and then want to continue to play ball after they failed. Snuff them out for good.
