That show is how dumb jewish sleazeball Charles Levine (Chuck Lorre) speculates smart people to act, which is why it’s unrealistic and stupid. "Nerd Blackface” is a hilarious concept, but in fairness to the cast, most of the actors are nerds in real life, just with lower IQs than their characters.
I'm in my mid 40s and I can say with 99.999% confidence that my total time spent watching Big Bang Theory is less than a minute. I thought the premise of the shows was stupid.
Then there's one that is really smart but unfortunately tries too hard to stay on top because she is paid to do things that it seems she doesn't necessarily agree with but does anyway.
So, for decades soap operas have been used for Comms messaging purposes. They can be made with quick turnaround time and have ridiculous premises for episodes, both of which are valuable for "sending Comms".
So, as it turns out Days of Our Lives is redoing a 1994 plotline about devil possession of a Psychologist named MARLENA.
This actress was the only soap opera actress on the cover of TIME magazine, and it was during this time period.
There are sooo many remakes/reboots occurring, which taps into the symbolic meaning the originals had for Comms purposes, to send new Comms. MLB having "Field of Dreams" games in Iowa, referencing a film that came out in 1989. Why have that game now? Comms purposes. The most recent Ghostbuster film, at the end credits, exposing the psychologist experiment presented in the very first film? Comms. Making a Grease spinoff involving the "Pink Ladies"? Comms referencing Ted Kennedy/Chappaquidick.
You know one of the —producer/ owner of a major soap (I think Days of our lives?) has a Grandaughter who is an ambassador for maxwells terra mar and in pics with Obama (with a band aid around his middle finger)
Just as my normie friends were starting to understand Covid shots were worthless, Ukraine comes along and off we go again for another ride on the hysteria carousel. How these people can dress themselves and keep a job is beyond me.
The show is funnier without the laugh track. When you realize that each awkward pause was meant to be followed with applause you can't help but laugh at the cringe.
Yes, there's a live audience. The actors say every line while leaving a long pause in between. Those pauses are where the audience is encouraged to laugh by the audience director.
Now let's say the actors flub their lines or miss their marks four times in a row and the audience doesn't think the joke is still funny on take five... they completely and totally add canned laughter in, or take the first reaction, and part of the second reaction, and mix it into the fifth take.
If someone laughs so hard they start coughing, then they mix it out. If the audience doesn't laugh enough, then they add a little extra (this is called "sweetening").
Honestly, there's so much mixing involved in the "live audience reaction" that it might as well be completely canned laughter. Only one out of a hundred audience reactions are left alone as is.
I am a military brat, and grew up mostly in Germany in the late 60s and 70s. At that time most of the bases we lived at did not have American TV, so I learned to do other things, like read and think. Fast forward to our return to the US in 1977, and my parents have been glued to the TV since. TV is the devil.
My parents didn't talk to us much. I used to wish to play school but I didn't have materials. TV was a nice escape from the chaos of my childhood home & the only entertainment. But yes it is!!
I was out getting dinner and sat at the bar, while waiting for a table. TV displays a promo for something about 1,000 sisters. I basically cried out in horror that that's not a real show! Fucking clown world!! Guy nearby laughed and agreed. Our society is fucked because of talmudvision.
It’s for people who are stupid that want to seem like they are smart. I’ve tried to watch it and it’s not even funny. The laugh tracks are annoying too. Try watching it without the laugh tracks, it’s creepy as shit.
Is that show still on? I remember that show when I lived in America 10 years ago. Nerds don't wear trendy $50 Urban Outfitters T-shirts and sleep around with different people each week. So dumb.
My liberal aunt who no joke works for CNN LOVES that show…
She’s so mature at 50 years old she’d text me after a bottle of wine talking about how DJT was a giant “turd”…
"You should see watch this it's so funny, this one character reminds me so much of you."
Witnesses lizardperson doing an insulting impression of a nerdy person
"Fuck. You."
I've always called that stupid show "Nerd Blackface."
"Nerd Blackface" .... from a GenX classic nerd (math / science / other academics) who was bullied for such.. thank you, perfect!
"Like OMG I am like so nerdy, I played Nintendo as a kid."
Just tell them you're going to add it to your backlog, they will understand.

Remember when Big Bang Theory cast supported Jussie Smollett. LOL

Peperidge farms and all....
Ugh. A neighbor said “YOU WOULD JUST LOVE ‘THIS IS US!’“
Nighttime soap opera with woke characters and melancholy music. She is both unsophisticated and has no idea what I am about.
Yes! All of their problems are "you can't possibly understand my struggles because you're not black/fat/black/addicted/black/etc"
Daytime soaps are basically degenerate soft-core pornos

It’s recorded with an audience.

oh thanks, I don't get that show either. I'm really not a TV person.
I hate to say it but my mom plopped me in front of the TV at a very young age. I cannot stand the big Bang theory.

The show reminds me how tech-nerds are helping the NWO ruin and enslave the world.

It's even stranger that sitcoms even mention the laugh track in subtitles, like they need to remind deaf people "hey this is funny, seriously!"
Yep… It’s like this with most things on TV… I never understand how people can watch…idiot box for sure.
You just don't understand it.
Oh sorry.
"YoU jUsT dOnT uNdErStAnD iT"
Q: What's the difference between actors and real nerds?
A: Nerds don't have sex with children.
Is that Willem in “the lighthouse”? Awesome film
Yes and yes!
Eggers' The Witch (The //itch) is very good as well.
The Witch is legit scary although I admit I had to watch it with subtitles loll. His next movie coming out looks great too.
Hark.
Please tell me you liked me lobster.
You bastard my cheeks are cramping from laughing. Unlike the picture.

Is this post because of this?

No, the show is just fucking retarded.
It is.
