It takes years to become a surgeon - years of school and then residency to develop the necessary skills to perform such delicate work. The loss of just a couple of these highly skilled professionals can have some very undesirable consequences. I find this incident sad and concerning.

Yes, you are most certainly right. In the coming months and years ahead, I believe our lives are going to change in ways we could have never imagined. Our destination will be better, but it may be quite rough getting there. Birth does not come without pain. We will have to become more self reliant and those things that came so easily in the past will take more effort - if they can be had at all. Many of these things we could certainly do without and our lives will be much better for the lack of them. Junk food for one comes to mind. Our health is everything and cannot be taken for granted as so many often do. I would like to see us with far less technology in our lives - like from media sources. What a novel idea.... having to actually interact with other human beings instead of mindlessly watching a screen. I would like to see communities pull together for the benefit of all. These are things I pray will be birthed into the world ahead of us. To some it may seem like a step backwards; but to me, it is reaching back and pulling forward what was valuable from our past that had been so easily discarded. A good balance is necessary to build a future that will be good for generations that follow. May they look back and value the efforts we endeavored upon to make the world a better place for them. That will truly be a legacy worth fighting for.

My father is diabetic and was 65 and unvaxxed when he caught covid. He had light, cold-like symptoms for about a week and then recovered perfectly.
My 23 year old vaxxed brother caught covid in the same time frame and had flu like symptoms for nearly a month and a lingering cough for an additional month that ended up causing him to lose his voice for a week.
I was 27 when my household caught covid and while unvaxxed, i was the ONLY one who didnt develop a single symptom at all the entire time.
My dad lost some cousins and an aunt to covid too and they were vaxxed AND unvaxxed (caught it before vaccines were available). But they were all in their mid to late 70s.
If you are a younger person or middle aged but relatively physically fit and got vaxxed, you were manipulated by the media and ignored the actual science showing how terribly ineffective these vaccines are. Thats nothing to be proud of.
