California you say?
According to California cucks (who coincidentally want you to wear a mask and get injected with a poison), everything causes cancer so eat them up and enjoy.
Arylamide forms naturally when you roast potatoes and grains.
https://www.niehs.nih.gov/health/topics/agents/acrylamide/index.cfm
p.s. - did you know that dihydrogen oxide kills about 4,000 people in the US every year?
Did you also know that dihydrogen oxide is water (H20)?
Liberals thrive on fear mongering.
True liberals do thrive on fear mongering, but they are indeed slow killing us with poisons/toxins in our air, food, and water. Maybe it's NOT the arylamide you should fear, instead fear the deep fried cheap smoked vegetable oils that undoubtedly cause HEART DISEASE.
Funny how liberals will fear monger about the fake stuff like gLobAl WaRmiNg, and Arylamide, but absolutely ignore things like Sodium Fluoride, and the damage over cooked seed oils are doing to peoples Hearts.
Fear arylamide as well. Read the link, that shit isn't good for us.
Probably won't kill us or even hurt us if eaten in normal quantities...
That said, you are correct as well - they are trying to poison us with god only knows how many chemicals at all levels.
I work in a water utility and about 15 years ago someone had a petition to outlaw dihydrogen oxide. The whole front office including the director had signed it. Not until it reached the maintenance guys in the back did someone know it ment water.
I remember a chemistry teacher in highschool did that… most of the classes let out a groan after a few minutes… the only class to buy it hook line and sinker was the honors class…
Science I can stand behind
Came here to say this.
According to Prop 65 everything causes cancer, including breathing.
ROFL!
Really? You realize you're stuffing your face with Acrylamide everytime you eat french fries, or literally anything deep fried in oil? Come on now.... This is basic chemistry and not some evil plan, jesus.
Right, but you're forgetting that the word acrylamide sounds scary. So you know... we gotta have a law.
Your pride and pompous attitude deserve to go you know what. Your need to put others down makes you no better than a lost liberal. You need to humble yourself and become part of the solution and less of the problem!
Shipoopi!
They're not being pompous. Thats like when I correct someone for the umpteenth time that 'loose' is not the same as 'lose' or correct 'could of'.. basic chemistry is basic chemistry. Don't get mad at someone else for pointing that out.
He doesn't live in an adiabatic system of thought.
What did he say that was wrong, though?
You utterly failed to refute his point, and instead responded with an ad hominum.
You lose.
Think Mirror.
California has stupid strict rules on ingredients. Almost everything can cause cancer to the states of California so there HAS to be a warning by law. Bottled water is known to cause cancer in California, meat, anything cooked in cooking oils , and many more. So that’s not a reason to not get the chips, however you probably shouldn’t get them because their processed food and not good for you anyway.
Yeah according to California basically everything causes cancer.
The cynic in me would say they do this to hide the things that actually cause cancer in plain sight because if ‘everything causes cancer’ then everyone ignores it.
This. Its called predictive programming.
Saturate. Overinflate.
The masses ignore the real threats when they appear.
Look here, but not there.
I think my snap on ratchet even has a Cali cancer warning.🤣🤣
Chromed steel = supercancer dontchaknoe
My Christmas lights cause cancer in California too. Everything causes cancer. The air you breathe causes cancer. I have even heard that, in California, if there is a microwave oven in a building, even a multi-story building, there is a sign outside warning people that they are entering into an environment that causes cancer. I wouldn't be too concerned, unless you binge on the chips every day!
If everything does, then nothing specific can. That’s a way to protect real toxic offenders from liability. You say you got cancer from some particular environmental toxin, you name the source, and try to sue. “Remember the movie Erin Brockovich and Hexagonal Chromium”. The defense would say, you park your car in a ramp. There’s a posted notice. You pump your own gas. There’s a posted notice. Ergo you can’t isolate the defendant’s toxin as the sole cause of your disease. I’m not a lawyer. It just seems to me like a cleverly deployed lawfare smokescreen.

This is intentional.
This California warning is on just about everything.
They put it on everything so people become desensitized to seeing cancer warnings.
It's calculated so that when something is revealed to ACTUALLY cause cancer, most will just say "Oh, you mean the California warning? Nah, that's nothing" instead of actually being appalled they put asbestos in baby powder.
My mother-in-law throws anything away that comes from California and has such a label. She refuses to listen to reason. Californians have been slapping these labels on everything, from food to plastic to light bulbs, for years. It's just another way to control people through fear. Unless you're living completely off the grid and make all your food, clothes, and necessities yourself, you probably come into contact with processed, unhealthy chemicals several times per day. A bag of potato chips is the least of your worries.
The pharmaceutical companies have owned the snack food industries for years .
They discovered 40 years ago if what you eat causes another trip to the doc. They'll reap on both ends, no pun intended.
just talking out of my ass here but I think acrylamide means it's a fried food
Here in PA, I've been seeing a little label under the nutrition information that says "contains bio-engineered ingredients". Might as well read every word on any processed foods these days or just know it's deadly trash.
California itself is cancer.
She mad that her garbage food has garbage in it🤣🤣🤣
Acrylamide is a substance that forms through a natural chemical reaction between sugars and asparagine, an amino acid, in plant-based foods – including potato and cereal-grain-based foods. Acrylamide forms during high-temperature cooking, such as frying, roasting, and baking. In research studies, high levels of acrylamide caused cancer in laboratory animals, but the levels of acrylamide used in these studies were much greater than those found in human food. The FDA monitors levels of this contaminant in certain foods because of its potential to affect human health.
https://www.fda.gov/food/chemical-contaminants-food/acrylamide#:~:text=Acrylamide%20is%20a%20substance%20that,frying%2C%20roasting%2C%20and%20baking.
This means that pretty much EVERY potato chip manufacturer, produces acrylamide - only Walmart is putting a label on the chips.
And like most science, this is way down at the bottom, while all the outrage is at the top.
Yay society!
There are literally people who will not eat these chips because of Acrylamide (a harmless, natural substance that occurs from roasting/cooking any kind of starch or grain), but they will happily get The Jab 4 times.
Sort of makes you want to get off of this planet.
I quit buying bread in stores a few months ago and use a breadmaker with only 5 ingredients: whole wheat flour, water, yeast, sugar, oil. (and only enough sugar, 2 tablespoons, for the yeast to consume (a three cups of flour loaf)) Even the best "healthy" bread in stores has stuff in it I just don't want to consume. If you have never tried a breadmaker, you might want to try one. You virtually just add the ingredients and turn it on. The texture isn't quite as good as hand-kneading, but I find the tradeoff in time saved worth it.
Switch to honey to activate the yeast. Also, do you use a poolish?
I have a great sourdough recipe.
Also an amazing NY Thin Crust pizza recipe, if you're interested. (And an ok Chicago style recipe, lol)
I haven't purchased a store pizza in over a decade. The total cost of ingredients are $3 for a $15 pizza in a store!!!
If not too much trouble, post those recipes here; there may be others who would like them too. Thanks!
I find that the KitchenAid kneads the bread while I am doing the dishes. Works quite well.
Love bread and making it, always better than store-bought. If you do have some time one day, give no knead bread a try, plenty of instructions on YouTube.
I upped the water quantity on a loaf today and it came out really good! The original recipe called for only 1 cup of water for three cups of flour, when white flour used. I upped it to 1 1/4 cup when using all whole wheat, but it was still too dense. Today I used 1 1/2 cups of water and it came out fantastic, with even the texture good. I think when the dough was denser, the kneading function of the breadmaker worked out ok and made the texture turn out ok.
But hey, it's gluten free!
Thankfully I don't live in California
Yeah they only give you cancer in California thank God!
I'm appalled that 79 people on this site, not some liberal bastion, read this and didn't immediately think, "Get serious. California thinks everything is poison."
On a scale of 1 to JFKjr, tell me how little you guys know about food. Comment above.
That, and similar, warnings are on many products. If you want to protect yourself, just stop eating processed crap. Eat real one ingredient foods.
Anyway, the vegetable oil in that is much more likely to harm you than the arylamide. Not to mention the potatoes! The only thing in that bag that won't harm you is the salt.
(Confession, I used to make meals of potato chips before I figured out how bad all this stuff is for you.)
Well, to be fair, most things are known to the state of California to cause cancer.
when will kalifornia put warning labels on the vaxxes??? that's where its REALLY needed!
"Acrylamide can form naturally from chemical reactions in certain types of starchy foods, after cooking at high temperatures. Some foods with higher levels of acrylamide include French fries, potato chips, foods made from grains (such as breakfast cereals, cookies, and toast), and coffee." (https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=potato+chips+acrylamide)
This would be true for all potato chips (except "maybe" sunbaked ones), not just walmart brand.
Everything causes cancer in California
Canola oil isn't good for you either.
Everything causes cancer, but only on California.
What % of food on shelves in grocery stores DID NOT EXIST in the 60’s/70’s? There is a loooong cereal aisle at our local grocery. 100% geo engineered grains, puffed and sweetened and in a nice box. You feed it to your kid EVERY MORNING. I for one, would like to see all the engineered foods go completely away. Eat as naturally as you can! Chips are FAR from nature!!! We are sacrificing our health for convenience, Americans are obese, but it’s ok, there’s a new flavor of chips I HAVE TO TRY.
Sheep.
To be fair, California puts that warning on couches.
well folks... being born is terminal.... live your life in moderation... turn off the television and enjoy!
The greater danger is it’s likely all those plant sources are GMO.
i feel like if you frequent this site you should def know better than to shop at a place like walmart, target, ect
Bottom line is that wholesome foods is what is intended for our bodies and not processed.
So real meat, real veggies, and fruits.
Bacon, steak, fresh broccoli, green beans, lettuce, apples, citrus, onions garlic, etc.
As a keto and carnivore diet freak I would stay away from potatoes and other starch-heavy/carb-heavy foods anyway. I love me some meat and potatoes but I have to stick to just the meat now.
I spent two years following… idk. Not really keto or anything but I didn’t really eat anything but meat and vegetables with occasional fruit. I fell off when I moved in with my boyfriend but omg I had never felt better than I did during that time. It was a full on physical and mental change. There is definitely something to be said about not eating processed food and avoiding sugar.
During Lent I gave up all sugary foods including drinks and even fruit juices. I limited my carb intake to 100 grams max per day (not super keto but I have to have some allowances because meat is so expensive now that I have to thin out my meals with fruit and veggies, occasionally almond breads which are very low carb and protein heavy), and I felt so light and springy. I didn't feel bloated and weighed down by heavy refined carbs or starchy foods. My acne almost completely cleared up, my hormones started balancing out, I started sleeping better, felt less depressed, etc. It's quite amazing what cutting sugar and carbs will accomplish.
Of course now that Lent is over I've eaten a lot of sugary and carb heavy things to celebrate Easter, but I'm exercising more to compensate. Once I've eaten all these sugary things I'm going right back to my strict diet, and maybe even stricter. I'm going to find as much meat as possible and freeze it because prices will never go down again.
It's also in coffee, saw your post and did 5 min of reading and really it's in quite a few things, as the article I was reading said though "the devil is the dose"when it comes to this stuff.
