In order to move up the food chain in hollyweird you get bent over the bed. To get a lead role you get bent over a bed. To get an award you get bent over. Not just by one guy.
I get that he makes cool movies. But I am always stunned at the support this slime gets. Drugs and rapes a 13 year old. And it's public knowledge. Yet still people go to bat for the guy. Baffling.
most likely he is a child rapist and things are exactly as we all know it to be, but I think it is important that inditement is unsealed on the off chance that it shows that everything is bogus. I hate secrets kept by court order.
It's a bit more nuanced than that. Polanski was offered a plea deal that was VERY favourable to him. All he had to do was plead guilty and get a slap on the wrist; he did so under counsel advice but then the judge had a few drinks at his country club and started shouting off about how they had tricked Polanski and that he was going to throw the book at him.
As much as I dislike Polanski for what he did (and he did do it) I'm more angry that the justice system was corrupted in this way. It was like they were trying to frame a guilty man.
Today I learned of a miscarriage of justice that doesn't bother me. Maybe the first time ever.

Or maybe QT is showing a more tender and romantic reality that could have been if only the false flag event of the Tate murder had not been carried out and the brotherly love had continued to flourish. For many people the innocence and beauty of American society ended with those murders and we no longer felt trust. My view is speculative as well. I think you might be on to something where QT is concerned judging by the crappy treatment he often gets in the press.

That's interesting, do you have a link? I'd like to read it. All public trauma events are suspect to me now and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a lot more to this story now that it is more widely understood that underage kids were and continue to be used to frame and control prominent people.
