All I know is that I counted mail in ballots in my once red but now purple and turning blue PA county, and I saw legitimate ballots for Fetterman and Shapiro. The percentage was probably 85% dem, but our local and state reps easily went GOP. I don't claim to understand how any of this is possible. I think something is set in the machines that must flip votes down the line somewhere. None of it makes sense.

What is their excuse for using mail-in ballots? Part of the constitutional mandate to have ONE day for voting, in person, was to separate the wheat from the chaff. It's important. And people who take it seriously make time and effort. Sure, there will be some who are sick or have something that detains them, but they would be few and far between. Are they still using covid as their excuse?

Well, what you need are constitutionalists who know how to challenge those who have broken their oath to the constitution and know how to legally have them removed. Perhaps you could join forces with some like minded people and reach out to a constitutional attorney in your area and ask how to proceed in getting these people off the bench. I'm very serious. It's up to the citizens to make sure their government is working FOR them, as it should.

Absolutely. One day voting. Your concern about people not being able to get away from work is solved by making the voting day a national holiday, no work. The only thing happening in the nation for 1 day is an election.

I've been told on this board a national holiday was excessive. One day can't last forever while keeping it a hand count though. An always growing population can't forever fit in the same sized box.

Do you really want ability to vote to be at all influenced by financial prospects? Because that's what you're proposing. Mail-in voting guarantees access to voting as well as a hand count. Election machines are a much bigger danger to election security, since it elides the need for anything to be physically moved, much less trucks of things to be moved.

No, this is the only board with reddit-style features I frequent. Sadly, personal boards, be they old-school BBS or new school Digg-style like here, are increasingly the only large-scale internet conversations that can be perused without an account. Time was, Twitter was just a regular .html with microblog posts in a row, and pagination. The feed was there conceptually, but not enforced scrolling like today. Now almost every major social media site will at best allow you to read a handful of posts before blocking you from continuing.

In CA. You can vote in person or by mail. Closest to me is the local library. I had to fill out a page and then vote, but there was no verification. They had a drop off outside. It occurred to me I could have easily voted twice and who would know?
I live a few miles from the coast and I voted in person on Election Day.

The point from TCTH deserves a sticky, IMO.
It appears self-evident, the Democrats do not CARE about people or how their policies affect individual voters.
ERGO, they no longer campaign in an old school way trying to “touch” individual voters.
Instead, with the blanket mailings to “registered” voters whether they are requested or not, the Blue Party knows it must only focus on getting as many marked BALLOTS into the counting houses as possible. Once BALLOTS are in the system, their process shifts into overdrive and directs as many of them toward their candidates as necessary to achieve the desired outcome.
It’s dishonest, but consider those directing the tactics. Viewed as a “game” by them, it’s a “winning” strategy (especially since their ideas are so terrible, few knowledgeable, intelligent American Patriots would actually VOTE for them).
