I just contacted them, and they are not yet hearing from Patriots about how the company is helping the Chinese dictatorship by dropping the app that the protesters use for coordination. Also, Apple is threatening to drop Twitter from the Apple Store because the company believes in censorship, not free speech.
Go woke, go broke. Call and chat with the main company, and contact the Apple stores. Mention a pending boycott. Make it so these assholes can't walk the street. Spread the word. You guys are really good at that.
And, most important, look at Linux for your next computer, and a Musk phone if that happens ("Musk phone" sorta works, doesn't it?). I hope to hell Elon makes a phone. Any suggestions on hardware for a machine with Linux OS?
Send Apple on the downward spiral now enjoyed by Disney, Netflix, FaceBook, and Amazon. And don't forget Bed, Bath, and Beyond when they dropped My Pillow. You Patriots are kicking ass! Now it's time for Apple.
I've never owned an apple product so they can continue to fuck right off
Same here. Don't do Nike. Or Disney. Or Starbucks, either.
Good man.
Just switch to Linux guys. It's never been so easy as it is now. Tell Apple and Microsoft to fuck off.
I've run Linux on my PC forever
It really is an easy setup
I'm coming up on my 3 year anniversary in February myself.
So you have a google phone, which is just as bad if not worse. Solid.
True but if you buy an Android phone from a typical phone store it will have the manufacturer's OS which includes all their proprietary bells and whistles. The only way to get a true degoogled phone is to install the OS yourself, and that requires an unlocked bootloader and a certain degree of willingness to void warranties.
You can buy a de-googled phone from Rob Braxman.

Wow what a dipshit
A} I said I have never owned an apple product meaning nothing from them. No computers, no ipods, no phones no watches But you're too busy staring at your rose gold iphone to actually read what's on the screen.
B} I've long rooted my phones, whether Blackberry, Windows or Android, and have installed custom OS.
Also I still have a disconnected dumb phone
Very cool.
Pick my poison! I hate google enough more than apple.
Google phones are actually best for de-googled Android. The hardware in them is highly standardized and reliable so it makes development much easier than on other phones.
Check out xda-developers.com for custom android software
I canceled plans this week for about $1,500 in Apple spending (MacBook and watch) I was immediately planning (and also just returned an Apple Pencil that I bought on Black Friday).
And I’ll now let Apple’s actions determine if I have to start completely unwinding myself from their ecosystem.
Choose wisely, Apple. I know you and your majorhomo, Tim Cock, don’t care about truth and decency anymore, but let’s now see if you even care about money more than your Leftist totalitarian inclinations.
Nice.
Apple will have to come to me, hat in hand, to tell me enough is enough and they are tired of losing an incredible amount of money.
👍
Unwinding from the ecosystem is right.
I happen to have a functioning brain in my head, and it steered me away from ever buying an over priced, mediocre, slow, shitty integrated everything, pile of shit, apple product.
Boycott!!
Never owned any of the overpriced Apple stuff. There is nothing that can be done on an Apple or Mac product that can't be done just as well on a much less expensive PC compatible computer.
I'm early to the boycott party
Have never owned one single Apple product
I'm in!
I freaking HATE microsoft it literally makes my skin crawl when I have to use a windoze machine.
I've been on Apple for years now, and really have no complaints from a technical perspective but like the others here, I don't wanna support the woke agenda.
I wish there were better hardware options for Linux out there and more interoperability between devices and all that. It's been years since I played with Linux, maybe time to have another peek.
Give it another try. All Linux distributions have come a LONG way. Ubuntu is an easy on ramp, Fedora a common desktop, Slackware for the eclectic folks (looking in the mirror), Red Hat for enterprise needs, FreeBSD for the long time loyalists, Debian for a solid community, and Gentoo if you want to do it the hard-yet-insightful method. Ping if questions come up.
This is the way.
Linux Mint is one of the best multimedia distros out there.
And, these days the bluetooth and other drivers are already baked in, no need to find a repository and grab the needed files.
Agreed. Another good new user choice.
I thought I heard that Truth Social was going to expand into offering phones. It has been a while since I heard that. If they already offered them, we could switch phones right now. Apple deserves some tit for tat capitalism. I have an Android, but I would also switch, hoping the Truth Social phone would be free from spying.
Ubuntu Touch phones are worth looking into for a privacy phone
Interesting.
GrapheneOS rules that realm!
I’m slowly shifting away from the Apple ecosystem. Using my MacBook Pro much less than before (started using my PC more, not that msft is any better), using my Apple TV MUCH less than I used to. Gave one iPad away to my church and the other is virtually sock drawer’d, now gotta phase myself off that iPhone
iPhone is hard because it’s Apples flagship and it is miles ahead in design sophistication compared to any other phone. They have the best engineers in the world implementing cutting edge technology continuously into the iPhone. It’s a marvel how innovative it has been and how much it has led the design of every other competitor. It would be such a shame to need to boycott such a fine product because their company has other interests in mind.
However, I point out that we REALLY don't need these damn mobile phones. They add NOTHING to daily life, only subtract. It is best to communicate with people talking through mouths, with the sounds going through the air. Radical, I know.
That’s not true at all, I wouldn’t be able to do my my most basic daily tasks for work without specifically a smart phone where I can use maps and gps and search addresses using cellular data, while also being able to easily search businesses to call if needed
I would be without a job without a smart phone. Not even just a normal cell phone. There are so many remote work jobs that would not be possible without a smart phone.
I tend to agree. Androids just suck, don't need to say anything else. I have a Linux stashed away somewhere but don't know how to use it. I've been using apples since the 80s so don't intend to stop. sorry folks. I was told by my son that the apps on apples are restricted in order to make sure viruses etc are controlled. Sounds good to me. But i may rethink this that is going on now. we'll see.
Don't forget about Paypal most recently in the "go woke, go broke" category!
I can vouch Dell for a PC based system: https://www.dell.com/en-us/lp/linux-systems. You can also look at the Dell Outlet for refurb machines (good discounts here), then manually install a Linux distro, depending on your level of tech saavyness (Dell certifies select systems). But, you can install a flavor of Linux on most any system nowadays.
As much as I'd like an alternative phone option, I think we'll be stuck with Android/Apple until we hit TGA. Been looking at going to a non-5G Pixel and flash with GrapheneOS (Clowns still have a hardware backdoor I'm sure). I'd like something new... but not 5G which means options are still limited to used phones :(. There are also Pine phone and Librem5 as Linux alternatives, but definitely not for the faint of heart. Haven't looked into those recently, so maybe things have gotten better in the last 10 months or so.
Dont get Dell Dell just stopped ads on twitter because bad man musk. Get compiter from Meta PC Its not a facebook company, Meta PC sponsers non woke tubers like The Quartering
https://www.metapcs.com/
Looks like this is them. Thanks for the recommendation. Personally, I build all my own desktops, but recommended Dell since I have firsthand (recent) experience using Linux on them, specifically, and they offer more regular consumer products that are reasonably priced.
MetaPC looks to have a year warranty period and is mainly specialty machines that might be overkill for 95% of folks on here (not to mention out of budget).
I completely understand the boycott game and do it myself (cancelled Paypal), but our options are limited already (and get even more limited if we start boycotting everything). Pick our battles - I only wish more normies would realize this and participate.
I built my own desktop years ago so I know what's inside and I can upgrade however I please. For example, I started with a hard drive and now have an SSD in it. It only gets sluggish when I have a dozen programs running and dozens of open browser windows with stuff going on. So I'll use it until the Windows in it fails and can't be replaced, then go to Linux. I already have Linux in a Virtual Box, as well as Windows XP so I run some favorite old software.
I agree that the boycotting is tricky. We need to do the best we can, but, you can see, that is doing a lot of good.
Many years ago, the company I work for replaced all the PCs with Dell. It took months to get them to work on the network. It was a fiasco. I wouldn't use a Dell, if I got it free.
Thanks for the info.
Thanks for the info on Dell refurbished machines. That sounds like a good plan when my machine dies. Hopefully not too soon. I heard a little about the Pine phone, but nothing seemed to come of it.
No problem. Linux on the desktop has come a long way, but still far from being accessible like Windows is. I made the decision to not go to Win11, so I've been converting over to Linux instead. My phone is still serviceable, but getting long in the tooth. If it died tomorrow, I'd probably go the Pixel route, only because Linux native phones still need more time in the oven.
If more normies were to wake up, we could really bankrupt these Cabal puppets like Apple. The bread and circuses are too comforting still....
Rob Braxman sells a de-googled phone. Here's a video about the subject:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5USiHT7mzM
I was thinking he should call it X-COM https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/XCOM
you got me flustered
Last Apple product I had was the original Apple 2 computer. I will make this free speech thing known to Android though.
Adopting Linux and an open source mindset is empowering, liberating and rewarding. Any hardware can likely adopt some version of Linux as a replacement OS, laptop, desktop, phone, tablet or other.
For any computer, you can drop some version of Linux on it directly replacing any operating system (OS) it came with. There are some technical strides to overcome, but if you can install Windows or reimage a Mac, you have the base skills. An easy on ramp for new Linux users is Ubuntu - but MANY versions of Linux exist, each offering its own user experience, design choices, and methodology. Here's a link to Ubuntu docs, as a starting point, but the latest version may not be ideal for stale/older hardware, so an older version may be more suited to your 10 year old Dell. https://ubuntu.com/server/docs/installation
Phones are more technically challenging to change OS on, but consider getting a phone compatible with GrapheneOS - an Android variant OS focusing on privacy and security. Here's a link to their installation docs: https://grapheneos.org/install/
The well of information on these fronts is deep, the internet and open source community are there to assist, and please reach out here or via DM if you have any specific questions. Happy to sherpa as far up the mountain as possible and have decades under the belt, so far.
Long before their descent into utter wokeism, I got sick and tired of Apple's trendiness-over-technology approach and the "it's-obsolete-because-we-say-so" marketing strategy. I ditched Apple for Linux ten years ago, and haven't looked back. I'm typing this on my Linux machine right now.
I’m running Debian Bullseye on a 2008 white MacBook, with a GUI that I (serious geekery ahead) built from the minimal iso piece by piece. It runs blazingly fast for a 15 year old machine, and even in 64 bit mode with a workaround. I’ve run Ubuntu 22.04 on the same machine, and it was definitely usable. My point here is not to brag or show off, but to show that even old Core 2 Duo machines can run the latest open source OS and software and be very usable, but for people new to Linux, I’d forgo the Apple machines and grab an old PC, which don’t need workarounds.
“Appre” 🇨🇳
I had a 14 pro max order that I cancelled. Was tempted to give them a chance but then all this blew up and I yeeted that order. Thank God for supply chain issues giving me time to regret my purchase, LOL.
Now moving to grapheneos.
I can't remember a moment I didn't hate apple
I will stop buying new ones.
This will be the ultimate test of Go Woke Go Broke.
Would buying Apple stuff on Amazon and then opening the package and returning it be a good idea?
Been doing that since about 1986, when I got a look at their programming language...blech...
Why get a musk phone when you could get a de-googled phone?
i will keep my phone as long as I can and apple or the other manufacturers can not sell one more phone
So this is the line in the sand for you people, not the horrible work conditions? Suicide nets? Being forced to live at your work literally? gotchya.... Pathetic, but keep being such great followers. You're all a bunch of hypocrites, sorry not sorry
Many of us have been fighting this shit for a long time.
Then this wasn't directed at you. The majority of the commentors have apparently not been fighting anything. If someone is just now deciding to boycott apple, they are a faggot. These people are no different than the morons that were burning their NFL memorabilia and posting it to YouTube for likes.
"burning their NFL memorabilia and posting it to YouTube for likes." That's pretty funny.
