Google has been compromised for so long, and now duck duck go is also over taken. Where do we, as regular internet users go for real info? I’m just trying to verify the Q drops post and every step I get an internet obstacle. It’s honestly frustrating but also very telling that info related to the drops is stifled.

Duck duck go fell long ago, so long ago it feels like a different age.
Yandex is good.
👆 Its the only one I feel isn't completely cucked.
Anyone remember (showing my age 👀) the golden years of the internet back in the late 90's? It was before the cabal took an interest in it. Or at least before they started controlling it.
It was probably 3% the size it is today, but there was SOOOO much more useful information on it. You could find a wealth of opinions on any subject.
Search engines were merely indexes of everything. There was no ranking, manipulation, hiding, etc. And you could use real search terms and boolean logic to fine tune your search.
I remember when we had to use different search engine for different things. Infoseek, Altavista, Lycos, Excite, and even AskJeeves, before Google came in and bulldozed everything.
Internet was a DARPA project. There was never a time they did not take interest in it. They created it.
Absolutely. I feel bad for anyone that didn't get to experience it. Completely different experience back then. Complete freedom and raw innovation.
Re: DARAP: Fair point. I guess it depends on whether you think the military was compromised then. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt.
ARPAnet became DARPAnet.

Ah, 486's...
With a math co-processor, unless you were a loser. 🙄
Duck Duck Go could be the stupidest example of branding ever witnessed since the dawn of branding. How did that meeting go...
Hey guys I got a great name for our new search engine!
It's got not one, but TWO K sounds and a hard G, so it just trips off the tongue...
...and it's not one, not two, but THREE words! Great for a new brand, right?? (Heck, maybe we could go for four or five!)
PLUS!! "Duck Duck Go" is not only an utterly meaningless phrase to the great majority of people, so they'll EASILY remember it....
...it's also impossible to use as a verb, like google or bing! Whaddyathink? Hah? HAH????
Who do I gotta BLOW around here to get my way??
never thought of it that way…but have to ask; didn’t you ever play duck duck goose?;) think the name is referring to the game…
Nope, haven't played it
Never heard of it til the search engine
Even if I had, it doesn't work as a brand name ;p
Yandex is the best.
Fun fact
Yandex = ya + index
ya = Russian for "I" (first person singular pronoun)
[YAHN - dex]
Brave
Brave = browser. Not search engine.
But indeed, you are right, better to use brave than microsft edge, Chrome.
Brave has their own search engine now too. It defaults to using their search engine when you use a private tab/window: https://search.brave.com/
;)
What you could do is this:
https://qalerts.app/
click Q (left hand side) and then note the blue text bars.
Click on the 300M archive and save in a special directory. e.g. /home/Documents/Research/Q/
[Convention: # is just to escape the code; $ is command prompt.]
#$cd (into directory and unpack)
Archive the downloaded archive off site and delete.
if needs be #cd ~/home/Documents/Research/Q/ or go back into the Q-directory as the "root"-directory.
Start local temporary webserver in python3 (Linux) or python(windows) and it will serve your Q-drop site nicely.
#$python3 -m http.server 8080 --bind 127.0.0.1
You can basically choose any port (check your firewall settings!) and/ or any local host range ip address. Also, as long as you want to use the webserver, leave the terminal open!
Open webbroswer: type: 127.0.0.1:8080
Enjoy!

Qagg.net has all Qposts archived
If you're reading Q posts question by question and get stuck on one, post it here and ask for help.
From what I can tell there are in fact many of the direct Q questions that are still unanswered, even from the earliest posts.
Also remember that bakers are archiving the original discussions on archive.org. Most tools have a link to the archive so you can read it by in full context.
IMO lack of archive.org redundancy is our biggest weakness, but that's another topic.
I just used yandex
also did you see this thread?

I use https://www.startpage.com/ for nearly everything.
Anyone using startpage? https://www.startpage.com/
Google is 'everything, plus one'..and it, like Wicca-pedia, the modern Encyclopedia Britannica, from it's inception, was always the attempt to control that everything as information. Collection of usage data is part of that operation.
The name Duck Duck Go was a tell. A 'duck' in prison/mob jargon is someone who is groomable.
The internet infrastructure from the beginning was an MI operation.
You find information online that they want/allow us to see. Things that truly matter are found IRL and through experience
