Because the confederate flag was not a symbol of slavery, it was a standard battle flag of Virginia that fought for States rights.

Really dig into how the citizens of Israel treat foreigners and non-Jews and how they talk about Christians- they consider Christians to be idol worshippers worthy of death and property confiscation.

The Civil War narrative is one that has been hijacked by people who wish to use it for political gain. The Civil War was not about slavery it was really about the Federal Government wanting tariffs on cotton and tobacco. The Federal Government wanted the cotton industry and the tobacco industry for themselves. It wasn't about slavery and human rights, yes slavery was part of it but it was not the main reason. When the north won an the slaves where free the north rejected them along with Lincoln they did not want to live among them. It was all about greed and money and to think it was because they wanted to free slaves is total nonsense. What have we learned from history? Nothing ever changes.

General Sherman did not mind slavery. He just wanted them to be treated more like humans. Although he did hate them, he referred to them as the "N-word". He had several ideas about how that could be achieved. The people of Louisiana should not be held responsible for slavery, Sherman said, because they inherited it. Still, there were things they should do to “bring the legal condition of the slaves more near the status of human beings under all Christian and civilized governments.” The Civil War was not about slavery as it was needed to keep America growing. It is about the Southern States' rights that they were given. And in return, they would sign onto the new Consitution. The U.S. Gov't wanted to renege on its promises of State Rights. The South was growing too big and strong. People in Washington were concerned that the South would take over Washington D.C.
It is fascinating when you delve into history and find out things like the Nazi symbol is actually an ancient symbol that held religious symbolism from ancient times, as far back as 2000-3000 BC. You find out that the confederate flag was adopted by the Confederate States of America. The new Constitution they created had a focus on individual State rights for the eleven States that seceeded from the USA and that the issue of slavery was pivotal, but not for ethnic reasons, but for economic reasons. This schism had been burgeoning since the early 1800's and had started for financial reasons as well as principals of State Rights that nearly forced seccesion in 1828 with the Tariff of 1828. While the eventual call for succession included slavery as a key component, this issue had been simmering for nearly half a century and focused on primarily monetary reasons. In fact, the State of South Carolina had threatened seccesion over these tariffs in response to the tariffs of 1828 because it hampered economic prosperity primarily in the Southern agricultural States to advantage the Northern industrial States. https://www.britannica.com/topic/Tariff-of-1828. The tariffs were amended and reduced in 1832, however some States voted to nullify federal tariffs in their own State. The entire issue of the Civil War is extremely complex and multi-faceted and included far more than the singular issue of slavery. The very concept of slavery is an abomination and should have never been allowed in the first place, but not just in the New World, but in all time and in every place. The fact that slavery still exists in the world today is beyond imagination and proves that the issue is not being given the attention that it deserves, instead resources are poured into where it is no longer legal for reasons other than humanitarian, but rather political.
Well technically that’s a democrat flag. The south back then, and for the next 100+ years were mostly made up of democrats. Only recently, since Reagan, has the south went more republican. And so, black people being mostly a democrat base, should honor their slave state flag. I mean it’s not like they are free or anything. Black people continue to be slaves of the Democrat ideology. And they vote like they are programmed to do so.
It’s amazing to me, even today, there is this idea that the south was republican and the north was democrats during the civil war. And that’s exactly what the current Dems want you to continue to believe. And all they have to think about is one guy named Abraham Lincoln. The one guy even democrats have to recognize as great. They just hate that history shows they fought against him. But keep that on the low low. 😉

That’s not how things work. You are saying those that redefine a word or flag or history get their definition accepted and that is the norm. NO! That means we are all using pronouns because there are now told there are 100 genders, vaccine means “a jab that might help you deflect one interception of a virus”, etc. The flag has a meaning, and whoever thinks otherwise is ignorant.
