If they uphold Colorado, what then? Is it open season on removing Trump from every blue city ballot?
Then what? Civil war and escalation? How could it not be without any further legal recourse?
As Q repeatedly says no civil wars, that must mean SCOTUS will back Trump on this one, surely?
They cannot uphold Colorado because one cannot perform an insurrection against oneself ,it's not possible. Trump was in office and he cannot overthrow himself.
Good point.
Imagine living in a country where the people are so stupid (not all people) that they need the highest court to tell them a person cannot perform an insurrection on themselves.
Seriously sad, is it not?
If you are the king of the hill, why would you take yourself out (insurrect yourself)? A king of the hill could possibly claim being a dictator and refuse to be removed by using illegal means or possibly legal means.
This is still what I think they thought Trump would do. When he did not, they came up with this insurrection thing.
Then to add, a state claims we cannot vote for a man who tried to insurrect themselves?
I am not perfect at punctuation, but I am nobody. Would the SC be asking amongst themselves… WTF is this?
Oh yeah … we do live in such a country.
Trump was in office and he cannot overthrow himself.
Great point
Chauvin couldn't have committed murder AND manslaughter of the same guy but they convicted him of both anyway.
It's all about how much fear and blackmail they have over those deciding etc. Let's hope they are free to see sense and have the moral courage to do what is plainly right.
I've been thinking about this. If this is a military operation and military action is the only way, would they let the case against Trump go for a reason to activate the military, or at least as a domino for that to happen?
Then Biden gets removed from Ohio, Florida, etc for taking money from China or for not protecting our border or whatever. Governors are important.
Don't count on Ohio for anything. Dewine.
No republican will ever have the stones to do that though. You know by now this shit only ever goes one way lol
How? He's never been found guilty. The left is going to learn a terrible lesson from this. One they need badly.
Even though it is a “no brainer” that the 14th Amendment, Section 3 does not apply to President Trump, it is no great comfort this rests in the hands of SCOTUS.
I would think a person would have to be convicted of insurrection before this would apply.
Trump has been accused by the media of insurrection. As far as I know, no one has yet to charge him with insurrection, let alone convict him.
But then again, we live in 🤡🌎
So he's not been convicted.
It's still to my knowledge that none of those charges are "insurrection." A bunch are about business practices, handling of classified information, and conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding. I'm not saying he's guilty of any of these things, I'm just saying that's what he's charged with, and that's what he's currently defending against.
But even if he were guilty of those specific charges, I don't think they qualify as "insurrection."
On January 6, he invited folks to DC for basically a rally and a march; both free activities protected by the 1st amendment. He himself stayed in the Whitehouse and away from the troublemakers. I think he is not guilty.
I expect nothing but the worst from SCOTUS, but they have surprised me a couple times before.
I think, as bad as they are, the lefty Justices know when they are being asked to open Pandora’s Box. They seem pretty careful about rulings that can be used against the Dems too. I think that’s why we get the occasional 9-0 rulings. Still, being in their hands is not comforting.
Roe v Wade overturn was pretty surprising.
Its actually crazy and rather terrifying how much power lies in the SCOTUS, and how many crucial rulings effectively just comes down to which political side and faction happens to dominate when certain cases are decided.
Especially this SCOTUS…
Not these days.
There are several Q posts on February 8 in multiple years. This one could apply.

Trump should sue everyone who has falsely accused him of insurrection, for defamation, libel and slander.
400% fact...
...probably more.
If they are not executed for treason
Can each state run a separate Caucus regardless ??
Cutting it close to Super Tuesday
Several states have primaries on March 5.
Trump wins on the facts and the law. It is terrible that we can’t predict the outcome.
If they rule in favor of Colorado, we got big problems.
Yeah. The entire government should be flushed down the toilet & all the officials & employees.
SCOTUS should overturn, but if for some reason they don’t, we can still write-in Trump correct?
Trump, as the Chief of the Executive Branch, is obligated to investigate all violations of law through the Department of Justice and Law Enforcement agencies, including election fraud that takes him out of office, but before he leaves office. Instead, they go after him with his own Justice System. Corruption is obvious. If the Supreme Court doesn't toss this ballot shit out, the Federal Government will have lost all traces of whatever faith people have in it at all and then there will be chaos and revolution or worse.
What insurrection? Oh you mean the one Piglosi set up a year in advance with the criminalized fbi and capital police lol.
