Red Cross has been known to be corrupt we don't donate to them anymore.
They remind people when a disaster happens and everyone feels bad and starts donating to the Red Cross, they are using donations they already have at that time. The donations you are giving are not used until the next disaster, not the one you are looking at during that time.
Specifically, the Red Cross provided fake passports to Nazis as they escaped Germany after the 2nd world War. The catholic church provided the safe houses along the way to Spain (neutral and friendly to Hitler), and from there to Argentina and South America.
