Somehow the solar flare could pick certain customers to affect here in Minnesota. Half of the people that I spoke to today had service and the other half did not until 12:31 CDT. Weird.

AT&T didn't say it, clueless talking heads are speculating and too stupid to realize satellite Internet providers, satellite tv, satellite radio all stayed up.
They wouldn't be explaining weather phenomenon, they'd be explaining why an outage happened, just like the explanation in the Tweet I sent. And just like like every winter some big storm causes thousands of canceled flights the airlines tell you it was weather related cancellations, because people don't blame them for the weather, but if they say "or crew scheduling application crashed" they're going to get reamed.
Does anyone have any service other than ATT that had issues? I have Tmobile and had no issue.
When I woke up all I saw was ATT , and then they said later in the day that everyone of the service providers were down. Was this BS to help push their solar flare narrative. Because it would be hard to have solar flare issue and only One provider go down.
Also, DTJr. has a point: if you even glance over the science, their story is complete nonsense. Primarily, the MAFF is wrong. Solar flares have a particular particle component that take EIGHT days to traverse the distance from the Sun, and hit the Earth, unlike the regular (light) waves that takes only 8 minutes. Moreover, the sunspot that generates a flare (and it's a big active one, this time) NEEDS to be Earthfacing before we feel anything EIGHT days later. Small geometric error, I am sure.
In any case, it is easy to predict a year, in which this sort of news item comes to the front pages regularly - it is at the solar Maximum that occurs every 11 years, and this year is one of those. So they figured to have a script ready for the wee Mockingbirds. So, any shenanigans involving a national outage can be planned for nicely, they thought.
Problem is: employing diversity hires to release the script when Solar flares are nooticed. They did not get the memo re: waiting a week, or reacting only when a chosen spot is facing the Earth.

I captured a photo of a very weird looking sun rising over the mountain this morning. It was huge glare, not the usual contained globular shape..
It looked hazy here all day. The sun, when it came out from behind the clouds, was weirdly bright, almost blinding.

I don't believe anything the government tells me, hasn't failed me once.
I was working a polling station here in NC. The only people out of service who were there had AT&T
I had no problems with my Verizon service nor did someone with T-Mobile sitting next to me.
So how would a solar flare not take them all out?

I looked at all the flairs on GAW and there was no such thing as a Solar flair.
The closest to Solar flair was one that said "Climate Control" with a couple of clowns on it. There was also one that said "Embarrassing" .
