The entry point from where the snipers were stationed would have been in the front of the head. The entry point with a high power rifle bleeds less than the exit wound. The expansion of a bullet blows out the exit. The size of the exit wound depends on the type/design of the bullet.
All that taken into consideration a head wound bleeds profusely, and if the bullet actually exited out the back of the head it should have created a path of spray. However, with the angle the shooter was lying on the roof the bullet could have traveled down into the body, and bullets don't always track a straight line after impact.
EDIT NOTE: I don't know what type bullet the snipers were using, but I think it safe to say when you might be required to shoot into a crowd you don't want bullets that pass straight through to kill innocents. I think it likely they were using some type of hollow point or ballistic tip that would retard penetration.

If it came out of his mouth that would indicate he was shot from behind. To me it appeared as though the bullet entered through his mouth/teeth and exited on the right corner of his jaw (right where it curves to meet the base of the skull).
I noticed the same, But were those teeth missing prior ? And the photo saw he did not appear to be a recent kill. The coloration my screen was showing made it appear he had been dead for a few days ? Just raising a question .

There does not have to be a ridiculous amount of blood splatter in this. A clean hole in a head shot can just leave blood leaking out in a stream. It doesn’t have to spray everywhere in a big explosion.
The police moved it away from the shooter as soon as they got up onto the roof, that’s what they are trained to do. Use whatever force necessary to end the threat, move any weapons away from suspect to render scene safe, if suspect is alive and injured then you handcuff them before starting first aid. It doesn’t matter that you are disturbing the crime scene by moving the gun, because making sure nobody else can be injured or killed takes priority.
