Knowing Austin it's probably a typo.
Normally I would agree with you, however, I have family in Austin and just came back from visiting. This time four years ago, 9 out of 10 homes in all the neighborhoods I drove through had Biden signs in their yards.
This trip I after a week I only saw one political sign in one person‘s yard. While I would never go out in the limb and say that Austin is turning Republican, there is definitely a shift away from the strong Democratic Support they had four years ago!
Hopefully you are right. I lived in the area for about 20 years and moved out around 2018, I'm back in TX but nowhere near Austin anymore. I went back last year to watch the BYU/Horns game with my daughter and her fiancee and it didn't look any different to me other than more growth and traffic. Maybe things slowly started changing when Leslie finally died, and sped up when Abbott got the "no sanctuary cities" bill passed. I have my doubts though since they still have a Soros DA.

In 2016, the four major Texas cities were all trying, but looks like Abbott banned the practice statewide.

New York has actually had an immigration problem for 150 years, and it wasn’t always “PoC” - at different times it’s been English, Irish, Italians, Polish, Russians, etc. Main differences now are the quantity and response. I don’t even know where they’re coming from anymore, but New York still brags about being a migrant hub…
Being completely displaced from your home by a deliberate, organized mass migration, that was orchestrated by a completely separate party, probably isn’t very enjoyable…
That's what I meant as well. There are still big problems here, but as far as I can tell they are still bussing them to sanctuary cities to get them out of here.
I feel really bad for all the seniors that live on the border on their ranches that have been in their families for generations. They can't live out their retirements in peace and even the women have to always be armed. Old ladies shouldn't have to worry that they will have to kill someone when they go outside on their porches. I guarantee that makes the old men worry even more and makes it harder for them to go out and work on their ranches or go to the store without worrying what will happen when they are gone. What's worse is they don't even have to be the ones shooting. Some of these ranchers find dead bodies on their ranches weekly in the summer.
I'm all for electrifying the wall, and putting pits with spikes on both sides as well. This has to stop. That - and throwing anyone in prison (LEOs or Feds either one) that opens or cuts the fences/gates/walls to allow these invaders in. And I'd put video cameras everywhere so if someone those a-holes lets in goes and robs/rapes/kills someone and you can match the faces to the video then the people who let them in should get life. Even American citizens that need assistance have a really hard time getting it because of all the illegals taking all the money, food from the food banks, and hospital rooms.
I had to go to the ER about 10-15 years ago and it was packed with dark brown Mayan-looking people that usually come from South America (they go to the hospital for everything because they get free care since the hospitals have to treat everyone). The only reason I even got called back is I had been struck by lightning and told the triage nurse my body felt "buzzy". I actually did have a heart attack based on my blood chemicals, but my EKG was good enough I could leave after an hour or so. That was when I lived in the Round Rock/Georgetown area. It gets worse the further south you go, or in major cities.
Only Shelby County (Memphis) in Tennessee. Good, that's far enough away from my home to suit me.
Then Shelby County should pay for tejh costs of these illegals. Just as every County and City should pay the bill and not we the tax payers for this fraud. The three Branches of Government are supposed to enjforce our Immigration laws. they do not have the right to violate those laws. This is what they are not telling the people.
Every politician that voted to become a sanctuary state/city/county should be arrested for aiding and abetting illegal aliens.

Taxes the the Byproduct of those Powers, where Licensing and Registration are the Primary Products, with You literally GIFTING your Private Property to either the State or the Federation....
House + Land, = Taxed as a Registered Business, classified as ""Residential"", like a Motel or Apartment building....
Automobile, = Classified as a ""Motor Vehicle"", the PURPOSE of which is to DO Business and Make Money by using the Public Roads, i.e., Taxi Cab, Delivery Service, or a combination of both....
And you People thought they were ""Just Joking"", about the Stoves and Appliances....
I know some 25-ish young lady that is being FORCED to REGISTER, LICENSE, INSURE, and also get a DL for a Single Rider ATV, basically a TOY, one that falls under the Classification of Household Goods at best....
ALL of this, Funds, Directly Funds, these Sanctuary Stupidities....
But People keep Paying, and just as Taxes are Obvious, Fines and Fees are also Taxes....

New Jersey
Among the municipalities which are considered sanctuary cities are Asbury Park, Camden, East Orange, Hoboken, Jersey City, Linden, New Brunswick, Newark, North Bergen, Plainfield, Trenton and Union City.
Anyone from NJ knows it's over for Hoboken, the so called rich town where there are plenty of Trump apartment buildings.

It can't be a full list. The town closest to me has over 5000 Hispanics. I don't know where all are from but the population of Hispanics is more than the population of county born people!

I was surprised to see St. Mary's County listed as one of the many in Maryland. That makes me really sad. I thought it was, or may have been, part of MAGA! Of course, Maryland is on the list big time. It seems most of the state politicians are leaning toward Communism, and want that for our state!

I must say, in Maryland, it is almost (no it probably is) impossible to elect anyone that is not a Democrat/Communist. Too close to DC and all our elections, in this state, are probably rigged. Sad, but maybe true.

A few years ago, they were trying really, really hard to eat total gun bans in every state surrounding DC.
Why do you suppose they’d want giant buffer zones where no firearms could be owned or carried around their hub of operations…?
Trying to think of a reason… hmmm. Who knows! Must have just been because firearms are dangerous to children, and the DC area, being full of high integrity and supremely intelligent individuals, was just the first area to spot that issue and move to protect the innocent!!!

I knew DC had very strict gun laws, that were defeated when the people got them to court. The surrounding jurisdictions should be able to survive the changes the Commies want to make, although our governor, Wes Moore, did sign some horrendous law that was finally overturned-he, Wes Moore, said his attorney general said the law was constitutional when written-it wasn't! These people are ridiculous, and very dangerous.

I am pleasantly surprised though not to see Fayette county or Lexington on the list. But I believe I'll stick to the south
