And these sites were written by psychologists, counselors, ministers, "mental health professionals," etc., who were literally telling hurting, aching, lost, disoriented people...to replace their spouse with the f'in godbox and its Current Events Horror Porn.

Only you know what's right for you. If you have interests in books, music, art, gardening etc. soothe your soul with these when you are ready.
I believe you are in shock and need time to process your loss. Reading the book of Psalms is comforting as well as talking to God. He is the Ultimate Healer.
If you don't have a pet you might consider getting one. You could try fostering to see if it's right for you. Pets are wonderful company and God created them to be our companions.
Finally, talk to your wife. I believe she's your special Angel watching over you.
RainforestFrog...That is EXACTLY what I did...I would lay on the sofa with the TV on and go to sleep and eventually after a few months (3-4) that I was able to sleep in the bedroom...NOTE: I DID NOT WATCH TV DURING THE DAY!!!

Normally the media is sustained by ads taken out by various businesses, but as viewership (and ratings) drop off, businesses put their money where there are more eyes on their products. When advertising revenue falters, I'm quite certain that dark money goes to media outlets to keep them in business. That's why I call them "state-run media"...not too different from North Korea's TV industry. I have SO LITTLE use for these people, I just wish I could tell them how much hate every single one of them.

I read here while I listen to Dave and his two nightly news shows: X22 Report. One is mostly financial news (20 ish minutes) and the other is geopolitical (approx 1 hour). They go together like a hand and a glove!
I only go other places to see and hear about what other people are talking about (to see how far the news has spread) - but I come here for the headlines and news.
I got rid of my TV in 2020! I do not follow news in my little country but of course, buddies share mostly bad news happening! I can sense the spiritual war the world is experiencing and I believe we are currently walking through the darkness! I am tuned to what happens in America because from what I've seen, if the City on the Shinning Hill goes, it's over! Watching local events is irrelevant! What happens in America will dictate the future of humanity! Having forums like this one gives us a sense of connection! Like Q would say! You are not alone!

That whole "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer" concept. I like to know what the other side is up to. Reading about the same topic from different sources really highlights what the other side thinks is important.
I know that many people get really upset when they read things they don't agree with, or flat out know is a lie. I don't know why, but that type of thing has never really bothered me. Maybe I'm just broken. 🤷♀️
I am busy and work 12 hours a day 7 days a week and I don't have the time to do all the research that most people do here. So I get 10 minutes a day to look at the computer and come here and it is a whirlwind of info in 10 minutes, when I do have time members get me on the right path. Your not broken your smart and informed.
