Italy may have different laws

And European laws may have changed within the past couple years since he last studied those laws. Remember he was an environmental lawyer years ago. He probably doesn't keep up to the latest on everything.

Monsanto and all those other chemical companies probably made their way to Europe to expand their billion dollar empires.

Could also be yeast from specific regions that people are or aren't allergic to I guess.

Oh, believe me, standardization is what the union thrives on. They want each European country to merge into some gray conglomerate pale mass, without independent identity. According to the "Kalergi" plan, the white race must be obliterated and turned into some brown population, that can easily be controlled.

Europe isn't one giant place.

It's a ton of different countries all with varying laws on what pesticides, fertilizers, additives, colorants, etc are allowed in food.

So it very much matters what country those relatives are in

Yes, and no. Europe is very much controlled by the EU, and they try to create homogeneous laws and regulations throughout the member states. In most countries, like mine, about 85% of laws and regulations come from the EU.

Hungary is currently the "bad child" of EU. They are trying to circumvent the EU regulations so they can keep saying no to new migrants from the MENA countries. EU is threatening with fines or expulsion. I feel like many politicians in other European countries are seeing that if they stay on this route, they will seize to exist as an independent country. These politicians are mostly in the opposition, but tides seem to be turning - at least I hope...

Chess and gmo. I've read about decades of genetic modifications to plants. Big Ag so purchased seeds won't leave seeds, so farmers have to buy more.

AS do I BUT when we travelled to Italy a few years back and ate their "goodies" I did NOT have any reactions...WOWZA!!!!!

AND its the CHEMICALS that are being sprayed on the wheat...

My Question is: What the hell is wrong with these people/farmers??? Everything that is happening to society is being done through Chemicals!!!!!

I had no issues at all with gluten from 1975 to 2005. As an Italian American in philly, my diet was 80 percent wheat. One day I just started getting crazy stomach issues. I get the same issues from soy now as well...even gluten free soy sauce

Edit: I put two and two together around 2015. I moved to a house next to a farm. Turned out it was wheat being grown. The first harvest I spent a month with a throat that felt like I was swallowing razor blades and ridiculously bad fatigue, I could barely keep my eyes open at work

I started reading up and found that not only do they use roundup during growing season, they spray the fuck out of the harvested crop to help dry it (desiccating they call it). Can't make this shit up. I hope a class action lawsuit happens

I can't remember the last time I had it on purpose ..probably 2008. At least now the labeling and products are infinitely better. Even the beer is crazy good. Ghostfish out of Seattle is amazing

Usually the high glysophate(sp) spray foods are Genetically altered to be I believe Round up ready.

Yes, some crops like the soy that they grew next to my house are genetically modified to be Round Up resistant. Then they can spray the soy for weeds without killing the soy.

I think their company sells it through Amazon, frys online but Ive gotten it at natural grocers as well. It's very tasty. Pricy though. Apparently has never been altered so what our ancestors ate. Definitely look into it!

Yup, I had a friend who's father owns lots of farmland, I told him about this and he got very angry about it, said it would be impossible for his father to change his farming methods. I would guess for money reasons.

i gotta mention Dr Gundry here, because following his advice really helped me. Gluten can be challenging to process, and I benefitted by avoiding it for a while. But I'm sure it's also true that different sources include different contaminants as a contributing factor.

check him out. his advice runs contrary to many of the anti-meat so-called 'health professionals'... and he has a ton of experience to back him up. great health resource.

NO not everything Organic is NOT Genetically Modified Organism or you see bioengineered in labels. Corn, rice, soy, beets, some squashes and many more that are bioengineered. Look at kid cereal boxes and you will see contains a bioengineered ingredient.

When I was a kid you could buy huge sweet soft peaches, now they are small and hard and have poor flavor. They harvest them unripe and then gas them to make them look the right colors.

My wife is an EKG tech in a hospital, she said old ladies who had breast implants when they were young, have breasts as hard as stones too! She has to attach those leads under the breasts among other places... Kek

I was in severe pain for decades. Chronic tennis elbow, knee problems, hip problems. Constant rotator cuff injuries. I'm a general contractor who works the tools. Life was very painful. Someone mentioned it could be the wheat. I ate a LOT of bread. - I quit about 8 years ago. ALL MY PAIN IS GONE!! Note: it takes 4-5 months for the symptoms to go away. I encourage anyone with pain like this to try it.

I came to this conclusion in 2007 when my then 5-year-old was only 25lbs and had chronic diarrhea (bright green). Thought gluten at first but as I began to research, we then changed our diet to non-GMO, Organic and his problems went away, he gained weight and started to recover. To this day, he is our canary in the coal mine. If the food has even a hint of poison, he becomes ill within 20 minutes of consumption. It has affected his core health and development as the first 5-6 years is most important for bones, brain, etc. but he is disciplined in his health regimen at 22 and owns it. Thank God, I knew to not vaccinate him and his brother, so he was spared from that damage. I have come to the conclusion that if you do the opposite of what the government endorsed experts say, you will probably live a long and healthy life.

I stopped having digestive issues when I started milling my own flour and making my own bread. I now make all of my carbs. (bread, crackers, pasta) It's very much a chore but I feel better. Less bloating too. I used hard wheat, einkorn, durum for pasta, einkorn for tortillas.. Etc.

My daughter made the comment this past weekend at my Inlaws complaining how store bread is so sweet. Haha.

Bread beckers (YouTube videos to get started) , Azure standard, breadtopia.. All good resources.

The difficult part is going out for eat. I just stick to meat and no buns or rolls etc.

I've also read that specifically it's the glyphosate chemical spray they put on wheat, rye, and barley that we are reacting to. It's also on other foods like fruits and veggies, and even bees can pick it up in their pollen collecting and transfer it into their honey. Nothing is safe!

I remember when I went to Italy for a trip I had very bad acne problems at the time. Cystic, painful, all over my face, just horrible. I avoided makeup in fear of making it worse and was taking medication for it, but the medication only made me nauseous so I stopped taking it while I was there. However I noticed that after only a week my skin started clearing up. It wasn't as painful and red anymore, and no new breakouts were appearing. I was eating anything I wanted there in Italy, even sweets like gelato, and yet my skin was healing! I went home a couple weeks later with my skin better than it had been in over a year and it stayed that way even after I got back to America. I am convinced now, years later, that it was the quality of food, water, air, sunshine, and LOTS of walking/exercise while I was in Italy that cleared my skin.

There truly is something wrong with our food here that causes people's skin to breakout, and to become horribly sick in general.

Also I believe most of Europe still process the wheat with a stone grinder like it’s been done since the beginning of time. I read years ago that makes a difference. I can’t eat most processed breads without getting a bad stomach ache. Back when I ate bread Dave’s was the only one that didn’t bother me.
